Chandigarh, March 30 - Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday flagged off the Sonipat Half Marathon organized at Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Sonipat. The Chief Minister, while addressing the crowd gathered at the half marathon, said the main goal of such events is to make the state aware against drugs so that Haryana can be made drug-free. He called upon the entire society to unite against drugs. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also wished people on Navratri.
The Chief Minister said this race is an inspiration to walk together, to create awareness towards sports and to mobilize the entire society against drugs. Such events not only bring social awareness but also instill enthusiasm and excitement in all of us. He said only healthy people build a healthy society and a healthy society is the first step towards the development and upliftment of the country. It is important for a healthy society that it should be free from evils like drug addiction. For this, we have expanded sports facilities in the state. A campaign has also been launched to keep the youth and all citizens away from the evil of drug addiction. The marathon is a part of this campaign.
Promoting fitness by organizing marathons
The Chief Minister said marathons and raahgiri events are being organized across the state. Through these events, the public is constantly being made aware of maintaining fitness. Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi started the Fit India programme on August 29, 2019 so that the general public can take care of their health. The Chief Minister thanked the Prime Minister and said by starting the Fit India programme, the Prime Minister has made fitness an integral part of the lifestyle of the common man. Along with this, India has also given the basic mantra of yoga to the whole world. He said seeing the crowd gathered in today's marathon, it is evident that people have become committed to fitness.
Haryana Government is continuously tackling drug addiction
Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said the Haryana Government is continuously tackling drug addiction. With the support of saints, voluntary organizations and civil organizations, it is working against drug addiction. Sports are being promoted to keep the youth away from drugs. Mission teams have been formed from village and ward level to state level for de-addiction and rehabilitation. Dhaakad programme has been started at the level of colleges, universities and educational institutions.
Programmes being organized under ‘Haryana Uday’
The Chief Minister said this marathon is being organized under the Haryana Uday programme of the state government. So far, 2,482 programmes have been organized under the Haryana Uday Abhiyan, in which 16.50 lakh people have participated. This has proved to be the biggest outreach programme of Haryana till date. It includes raahgiri, cyclothon and sports competitions in areas affected by crime and drug addiction, de-addiction campaign, adoption of senior citizens, police school etc.
From children to elderly, everyone took part in marathon
The Chief Minister said it is a matter of happiness that thousands of people from all over the city have participated in the marathon. From children to the elderly, everyone participated in the marathon. Senior citizens aged 60 to 80 also ran and their enthusiasm inspires others. He congratulated the winning runners and all the citizens who participated in the 21 km, 10 km and 5 km marathons. He also congratulated the Sonipat district administration on the successful organization of this marathon.
Students gave different cultural presentations during the half marathon. Singer MD presented songs against drug addiction. Students of Rai Sports School also presented gymnastics.

Chandigarh, March 30 – Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said the state government has prepared a project to set up a big sunflower oil mill in Kurukshetra and Asia's largest mustard oil mill in Rewari and Narnaul for lakhs of farmers producing mustard in Haryana. This project will be implemented soon and lakhs of farmers will benefit from this project. It will be ensured that the crop of all these farmers is purchased on MSP. Haryana is the first state in the country where all the crops of the farmers are being purchased on MSP, he said.
The Chief Minister was speaking at a grand function organized by the Gram Panchayat at Samani village in Kurukshetra on Sunday for the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme. Earlier, Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi addressed the citizens of the country in the 120th episode of Mann Ki Baat and congratulated the players of Khelo India Para Games. In these games, Haryana players won a total of 104 medals, including 34 gold medals, 39 silver medals and 31 bronze medals. Apart from this, the Prime Minister said International Yoga Day 2025 will be celebrated on the theme ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’. The Prime Minister also asked all the states to work for water conservation. The Chief Minister, while congratulating and wishing the people of the state on the New Year Nav Samvat, announced to give a grant of Rs 21 lakh for the development work of Samani village. He said development works will be carried out at three times faster speed in the state, following the mantra of the Prime Minister of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas and Sabka Vishwas.
Recently, the state budget has been passed in the Vidhan Sabha and the budget has been equally distributed. The entire structure and plan has been prepared for the all-round development of the state. The government has decided to give houses older than 20 years on Panchayat land to people on collector rate of 2004. Similarly, thousands of pattidar farmers have also been given ownership rights on kasat land at the collector rate of 2004. The government has worked to give gas cylinders to women for Rs 500 and 17 lakh beneficiaries have benefited from this scheme. The Chief Minister said ponds are being built under the Catch the Rain scheme. The work of building 2,000 ponds has been completed in the state and in the coming time, 2200 new ponds will be built in the state.
Apart from this, farmers are being appealed to collect rainwater in the fields and in the Gram Panchayat land so that water can be conserved and the state can come out of the dark zone. He said the people of South Haryana are getting more crop yield. On the same lines, farmers in other areas of the state should also adopt drip irrigation system and conserve water by making ponds under the Atal Bhujal Yojana. The state government has proposed to the Union Jal Shakti Minister to make ponds under Atal Bhujal Yojana to take 86 zones out of the dark zone and the Union Water Minister has approved this proposal as well.
He said 77,000 applications were received under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Haryana. Out of these, an amount of Rs 151 crore has been deposited in the accounts of 36,000 applicants and money will be deposited in the accounts of the remaining 41,000 applicants under the scheme soon. Apart from this, survey work is going on further under this scheme. Village Sarpanch Shivani and social worker Pawan Kumar welcomed the Chief Minister and put forward the demands of the village. Sarpanch Shivani also presented a memento to the Chief Minister. A large number of villagers, former Minister of State Sh. Subhash Sudha and others were also present on the occasion.

Chandigarh, March 30 - Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said the state government has so far sent Rs 1.52 crore for development works in Tatka village. The village is being transformed with this amount and there will be no shortage of money for development works in future as well. The Chief Minister sent Rs 21 lakh to the Panchayat’s account on the spot for getting development works done and assured to fulfill all the demands put forth by the Sarpanch in the programme.
The Chief Minister was addressing villagers during the thanksgiving tour organized in Tatka village in Kurukshetra on Sunday. Village Sarpanch Dhoni Chandan felicitated the Chief Minister on the occasion.
The Chief Minister said on April 14, Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi is coming on a tour of the state on the occasion of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s Jayanti, and will inaugurate the airport built in Hisar in the name of Maharaja Agrasen. He will lay the foundation stone of 800 MW Super Thermal Unit Project in Yamunanagar. A budget of Rs 7,272 crore will be spent on this project. Electricity consumption is increasing day by day in the state and the government is providing 24-hour electricity supply to the villagers and the city. He invited the people of Tatka village to reach the Prime Minister's programme in maximum numbers.
The Chief Minister said the people of Tatka village had performed their responsibility during the elections, now the development of the village is also being done with the same responsibility. In today's programme, all the demands made by the village sarpanch will be sent to the concerned departments and fulfilled. He told the sarpanch that he can start the construction work of the community centre to be built in the village whenever he wants.
The Sarpanch placed a demand before the Chief Minister on behalf of the villagers that a road should be constructed connecting Bargat village to Tatka. A community centre should be built in the name of Maharaja Shoorsaini in the village. A Saini Dharamshala should be built in the village. A kitchen and solar system should be installed in the old age home of the village. Along with this, roadways buses should be run so that the villagers have proper facilities to travel to the city. Doctors should be appointed in the primary health centre located in the village.

The Chief Minister sent Rs 21 lakh to the Panchayat's account on the spot for the development of the village. Along with this, the Chief Minister assured to fulfill all the demands put forth by the village Sarpanch. There will be no shortage of money for development works, he said.
The Chief Minister was addressing villagers during a thanksgiving tour in Kaulapur village on Sunday. Earlier, the village's Sarpanch Kamlesh Saini and Sarpanch representative Baljinder honoured the Chief Minister by presenting him a memento and a shawl.
The Chief Minister said today is the first day of Navratri. Also, according to the Hindu calendar, it is the first day of the New Year. He extended his heartfelt greetings to all the people on both the festivals. Recently, the budget session has been completed, in which the government has brought many schemes for the development of the state. The opposition did not have a single word to speak in the Assembly and all the questions raised by the opposition were answered one by one, he said. Also, during the Assembly session itself, Rs 151 crore has been sent to the accounts of 36,000 families of the state under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, among which 20 families are also from Kaulapur village.
The Chief Minister said the promises made by the BJP to the people of the state during the elections are being implemented on the ground. Some people had built houses on panchayat land for a long time and were living there. The state government has made a plan for such people who have been occupying the land for 20 years and will give them that land on the collector rate of 2004. Land was allotted to the people who came to the country at the time of partition from Pakistan, so the government has brought a rule to transfer the land to such tenants on the collector rate of 2004.
The Chief Minister said to fulfill the promise made during the elections of giving Rs 2100 per month to women, a provision of Rs 5000 crore has been made in the budget session. All the promises made by the BJP government to the people of the state will be fulfilled.
The Chief Minister said all crops of farmers in the state are being purchased at MSP. Haryana has become the first state in the country which is purchasing all the crops of the farmers at MSP. The state government has sent Rs 110 crore to the farmers' accounts under the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana, including vegetable farmers. He said the Congress Government had given 100-yard plots to the poor and needy people but they were not given papers and possession along with the plots. The government has recently handed over papers and possession of 100-yard plots to the people of the state, he added.

Narendra Modi's Mann Ki Baat programme with villagers. The Cabinet Minister, while wishing the villagers a Happy Indian New Year, said every Mann Ki Baat programme of the Prime Minister brings new thinking and his words are heart touching. Dr Arvind Sharma said during the Mann Ki Baat programme, the Prime Minister praised the efforts of the industrialists of Panipat for making good use of the waste cloth coming out of the textile industry, which is a matter of pride for the state. Water conservation necessary for future generation: Agriculture Minister
Chandigarh, March 30 - Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Sh. Shyam Singh Rana has called upon the people of the state to conserve water. He reiterated the Prime Minister's appeal on water conservation after listening to the 120th episode of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' in Yamunanagar district today. He said water is a precious asset for our life, and collective efforts are necessary for its conservation. Water conservation is necessary for the future generation.
Sh. Shyam Singh Rana supported the views of the Prime Minister on the increasing global popularity of Yoga and Ayurveda and said that the demand for Ayurveda is increasing rapidly in South American countries, especially Chile. The Prime Minister had discussed this subject with the President of Chile during his visit to South America, which shows the global acceptance of Ayurveda.
The Agriculture Minister said the 'Mann Ki Baat' programme is has inspirational messages for the countrymen, which every citizen should adopt in their lives. He appealed to the people to imbibe the message of the Prime Minister and contribute to the progress of the country.

Restricted holiday in Haryana on March 31
Chandigarh, March 30- The Haryana Government has declared a restricted holiday under Schedule-II instead of a gazetted holiday on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr on March 31, as it is the closing day of the Financial Year 2024-2025.
A notification to this effect has been issued by the Haryana Government.
The notification further states that in case an employee has already exhausted his/her restricted holidays, an additional restricted holiday shall be allowed.
Further, in case some private offices/institutions follow the list of gazetted holidays meant for public offices, all such offices/institutions shall observe March 31, 2025 as a holiday.
