*Remembering the Era of Maharaja Agrasen*

The Union Home Minister, while recalling the reign of Maharaja Agrasen, said that he had a visionary approach. From the Mahabharata era to the present day, he established a unique system of governance. 5,300 years ago, he laid the foundation of the idea that anyone who came to his city would become wealthy, have their own home, and live a dignified life. His vision was to nurture the values of the state, ensuring that no one in his kingdom went hungry, remained homeless, or was deprived of a means of livelihood, he said.

Sh. Amit Shah further stated that Maharaja Agrasen established principles of good governance, and Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi is following the same path. The government's vision is to uplift every section of society. In this direction, crores of people have been provided housing facilities. Ration was provided to 81 crore needy people and gas cylinders were provided to 11 crore people. Similarly, toilets were built for the convenience of women. The government is also working towards generating employment through cooperatives. Over the past ten years, there has been a significant transformation, shared the Union Home Minister.

*Haryana has set a new benchmark in Development*

The Union Home Minister said that before the elections, he had asked Sh. Nayab Singh Saini to do 22 important public welfare initiatives. At that time, Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini assured him that they would be accomplished, and he had already completed them within just two and a half months. He said that wherever a ‘double-engine sarkar’ is formed, people often question how such rapid development is possible. Responding to this, he emphasized that the BJP believes in politics based on principles.

Sh. Amit Shah shared that during the 10 years of the UPA government, Haryana received Rs. 41,000 crore from the Centre for development, whereas under the BJP-led central government, the state has received Rs. 1,43,000 crore. Haryana has set a new benchmark in Development, said the Union Home Minister.

The Union Home Minister highlighted that Haryana is the first state where 24 crops are procured at Minimum Support Price (MSP). Ownership rights are being granted to those residing in Lal Dora. Additionally, not a single Sarpanch in Haryana is illiterate. Haryana is also the first state where 50 percent of the seats in Panchayats have been reserved for women. Whether it is ensuring the availability of clean drinking water or providing gas cylinders in every household to create a smoke-free Haryana, the credit goes to this state, said Sh. Amit Shah.

The Union Home Minister said that along with Haryana's GDP growth, efforts are being made to enhance public amenities, implement schemes for the upliftment of the poor, and drive infrastructure development forward.

*In the next 5 years, there will not be a single district in the country without a medical college– Union Home Minister*

The Union Home Minister said that the central government is committed to strengthening and improving healthcare services. As part of this effort, in the next 5 years, there will not be a single district in the country without a medical college. He said that work is already underway to establish a medical college in every district of BJP-ruled states. Additionally, the number of seats in medical education will be increased in the coming days, he said.

Sh. Amit Shah emphasized that under the holistic approach of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s leadership, the central government has undertaken significant initiatives for the country’s healthcare sector. He highlighted that providing gas cylinders to women was a crucial step for their health, as earlier, exposure to smoke from traditional stoves would severely damage their lungs within 25 years. The government introduced gas cylinders to eliminate this issue. Similarly, sanitation facilities were provided through toilet construction. This was followed by initiatives such as the Yoga Mission, Fit India Movement, and the Nutrition Campaign. The Mission Indradhanush programme was launched to enhance children's immunity. Additionally, schemes like Ayushman Bharat and the Jal Jeevan Mission have been implemented to further improve healthcare services across the country, shared Sh. Amit Shah.

*Strengthening Medical Infrastructure*

Sh. Amit Shah said that the central government is making significant efforts to enhance the country's medical infrastructure. A total of Rs. 64,000 crore has been spent on improving public and community health center infrastructure. During Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi's tenure, the number of AIIMS in the country has increased to 23. When Sh. Narendra Modi became Prime Minister, there were only seven AIIMS, six of which were established during Atal Ji's tenure. In contrast, only one AIIMS was built during the Congress rule, said the Union Home Minister.

He said that similarly, the number of medical colleges has doubled, increasing from 387 to 766. There has also been a substantial rise in medical seats. It is known that, as part of this project, the state government purchased 300 Rovers through the JAM portal in 2023, which have been distributed across all districts. These Rovers will facilitate easy land identification by connecting to a network of 19 CORS (Continuously Operating Reference Station) stations established by the Government of India throughout the state. In this regard, the Survey of India Department has trained 88 Kanungos and 335 Patwaris, including master trainers, across all 22 districts on the use of these Rovers, ensuring they can be effectively utilized at the local level.

Under this project, the Tatima updation work is also progressing rapidly. Recently, the Tatima updation for 22 pilot villages was completed by the districts in collaboration with HARSAC. Apart from this, as per the directions of the Chief Minister, all 22 districts under this project have identified 440 additional villages (20 villages in each district) for Tatima updation. The work of Tatima updation has already begun in these villages by the districts and the Survey of India Department. The state government will also soon purchase the necessary IT infrastructure to update the complete record of this project online and upload it onto the portal. This project is expected to be completed by August 2025.
