Jalandhar ,4 April - In Punjab, the police administration is being subjected to political influence and claims are being made to make their official statements suspicious like politicians, which is very unfortunate and a serious worrying situation is being created by carrying out such cases on highly sensitive issues. These views were expressed by National Scheduled Castes Alliance President Paramjit Singh Kainth through a press statement issued here. He said that the recent desecration of statues of Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar in Punjab, especially in Amritsar, Jalandhar and Batala, has raised concerns about social harmony in the region. These incidents, including the provocative slogans written on a statue in Nangal village, are being seen as an insult to the creator of the Constitution and an attempt to spread unrest among the marginalized communities.
Alliance leader Sardar Kainth said that the lack of government action and the inability of the Aam Aadmi Party-led government to stop these incidents has raised questions about its effectiveness in maintaining law and order. The true face of the Aam Aadmi Party government led by the Chief Minister has been exposed in the society. Blaming "sponsored evil elements" for this action, these incidents could be part of a larger conspiracy, possibly linked to banned terrorist organizations that have carried out such acts in the past. The Government is reminded of its commitment to the protection of the ideals of Babasaheb Ambedkar and its moral responsibility to protect his statues.
Sardar Kainth said that the impact on social harmony This sacrilege has hurt the sentiments of lakhs of people, especially the Dalit community, and can weaken social cohesion in Punjab.
Demanding action, Kainth said that strict legal action is being taken by the Punjab government to take immediate action against those responsible and ensure the safety of Dr. Ambedkar's statues.
Strict legal action The Punjab Government is urged to take immediate action against those responsible and ensure the safety of the statues of Dr. Ambedkar.
