CHANDIGARH, 16.04.25-The National Institute of Nursing Education, PGIMER, Chandiarh successfully conducted a Pharmacology Exhibition by the enthusiastic and dedicated B.Sc Nursing 2nd year students of NINE, PGIMER, Chandigarh from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM under the leadership of Dr. Sukhpal Kaur, Principal, NINE and the faculty of NINE, Ms. Mamta; Ms. Rajbeer Kaur and Dr. Maninderdeep Kaur.

The theme of the exhibition was “Healing from Within : the Science behind Mediction” with the aim of enhancing public awareness and understanding of pharmacological concepts and practices. Dr. Nursrat Shafiq, Professor, Department of Pharmacology, PGI inaugurated the exhibition. The exhibition showcased a wide range of topics including First pass metabolism (Intro to pharmacology); Mechanism of action of Chemotherapeutic drugs (Chemotherapy);Emg. Drugs; Antacids (GI system); Bronchodilators (Respiratory system); Diuretics ( Urinary system) ; Vaccination (Miscellaneous drugs); Retinoids ( Drugs used on skin & mucous membrane); NSAIDS/Anticonvulsants (Nervous system); Anticoagulants( Cardiovascular Drugs); Contraceptive drugs (Hormonal disorder, supplement, MTP & contraception); Introduction to AYUSH; Immunosuppressants ( Anti cancer drugs & Immunosuppressants). Through interactive models, informative charts, and live demonstrations, students effectively communicated vital information to visitors from both medical and non-medical backgrounds.

The exhibition was videographed and the same will be uploaded on the NINE, PGI Website soon. Dr. Nusrat highly appreciated the innovative work of the students and encouraged them to make educational videos on the administration of bronchodilators and other drugs for the patients.
