SHIMLA -26th November, 2024-The state government would commemorate the completion of two years in office with a grand function scheduled for December 11, 2024, in Bilaspur. Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu convened a meeting with senior officials on Monday evening to discuss the outline and preparation of the programme.

The Chief Minister said that the senior congress leaders would be invited to grace the occasion. Apart from this all ministers, Congress MLAs, chairpersons and vice-chairpersons of boards and corporations, leaders who contested the assembly elections and Congress party office bearers would attend the event. Beneficiaries of various state government schemes would also be invited. The rally is set to begin at 10:30 AM.

The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of meticulous planning for the success of the event. He instructed officials to ensure smooth traffic arrangements in Bilaspur to minimize inconvenience to the public. Apart from this he directed the officials of district administration to ensure adequate parking facilities, cleanliness and proper toilet arrangements during the event.

Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said the state government would present its two-year report card to the people that would highlight the positive changes in the society due to the policies and programmes initiated by the present state government. He said that the present state government has introduced significant reforms across various departments which have improved public services, enhanced transparency and promoted digitization throughout the state.

Shri Sukhu also instructed the Information and Public Relations Department to produce a documentary highlighting the achievements of present state government over the past two years.

Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena, Additional Chief Secretaries Onkar Chand Sharma and Kamlesh Kumar Pant, DGP Dr. Atul Verma, Secretary to the Chief Minister Rakesh Kanwar, Administrative Secretaries and senior officials were present during the meeting whereas Deputy Commissioner Bilaspur Abid Hussain Sadiq joined the meeting through video conferencing from Bilaspur.
