Chandigarh, April 21- Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, in a significant announcement for the welfare of farmers, said that the state government will provide compensation for crop losses caused by recent fire incidents. So far, damage has been reported over approximately 801 acres. Deputy Commissioners have been directed to prepare detailed reports and assess the extent of the damage. In addition to crop loss, if farmers have suffered damage to livestock or any other loss, the government will ensure they are duly compensated.
The Chief Minister urged farmers to visit their respective Deputy Commissioners' offices and submit applications regarding their losses so that the compensation amount can be promptly transferred to their bank accounts. He assured that farmers need not worry, as the government stands firmly with them.
The Chief Minister made this announcement while addressing a programme held on the occasion of the inauguration of Shri Radha Krishna Temple at Shri Madhav Gaushala, located in village Sukhdareshanpur, Panchkula district. During this, the Chief Minister inaugurated the temple, offered prayers, planted a sapling, and fed fodder to the cows. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced Rs. 21 lakh from his discretionary fund, while Education Minister, Sh. Mahipal Dhanda and Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. Shyam Singh Rana also announced to give Rs. 11 lakh each to Madhav Gaushala.
While addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that the Shri Radha-Krishna temple would become a center of spiritual energy for devotees. He added that the temple would inspire feelings of love, compassion, and devotion, leading to positive change in society. He noted that Haryana is a state where cows are revered like mothers. Serving cows is an integral part of our religion and culture, and this Gaushala keeps that tradition alive.
The Chief Minister stated that the government has prioritized cow protection. Special schemes have been implemented to provide financial support, fodder, and medical facilities to Gaushalas. Strict laws have been enacted for the protection of cattle, and surveillance systems have been strengthened. He said that Madhav Gaushala has received approximately Rs. 47 lakh in grant assistance from 2022 to the financial year 2024-25 for the care and protection of cows.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that efforts are being made to make Gaushalas self-reliant in the state. This year, the budget for Gaushalas has been increased to Rs. 595 crore, compared to just Rs. 2 crore before 2014. The state government has made arrangements to provide land for fodder cultivation, and Gaushalas will now be able to utilize Gau Charan land for this purpose. The government is fully committed to cow welfare.
He further informed that to ensure no cow remains abandoned, three cow sanctuaries have been established—one in village Nain, district Panipat, the second in village Dhandur, district Hisar, and the third in Panchkula. These sanctuaries are equipped with sheds, water, and fodder facilities. An amount of Rs. 8 crore has been released for them, and nearly 6,500 destitute cattle have already been given shelter there.
The Chief Minister said that to rehabilitate stray cattle, the government had announced a grant of Rs. 10 lakh per Gaushala for the construction of sheds in 200 gaushalas. Sheds have already been constructed in 50 of these Gaushalas. He said that until 2014, Haryana had only 215 registered Gaushalas having about 1.74 lakh cattle. However, presently, there are 683 registered Gaushalas in the state, which are home to approximately 4 lakh stray cattle.
He said that over the past ten years, the government has provided Rs. 270 crore in grants for fodder to registered Gaushalas. In the previous financial year, Rs. 166 crore was provided to 608 Gaushalas for this purpose.
Education Minister, Sh. Mahipal Dhanda and Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. Shyam Singh Rana also addressed the gathering.

Chandigarh April 21: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini has directed officials to expand the scope of the Swaran Jayanti Guru Darshan Yatra Yojana, Sindhu Darshan Yatra, and Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, enhancing pilgrimage opportunities for citizens. Simultaneously, the Tourism Department has been tasked to ensure better student intake across all five Institutes of Hotel Management (IHM) in Haryana.

The Chief Minister was presiding over the review meeting of Haryana Heritage and Tourism Department here today. The Heritage and Tourism Minister, Dr Arvind Sharma was also present in the meeting.

The Chief Minister was informed that in a major step towards digital transformation, Haryana Tourism Corporation will digitize the booking system for banquet halls, committee rooms, and conference halls across its 42 tourist complexes. The Chief Minister has also reviewed the recently initiated digital booking initiatives and collaborations with online travel agents like Make MyTrip and BookingGini, marking an innovative leap towards modernizing tourism services.

The Chief Minister directed that all tourist complexes of the Haryana Tourism Corporation across the state be beautified and equipped with modern facilities. He stated that this initiative will not only increase their popularity among the public but also contribute to enhancing their revenue.

He said that the State Government is committed to further boosting tourism in Haryana and has launched several unique initiatives in this direction, including the implementation of the Home Stay Scheme, promotion of farm tourism, adventure sports activities, and destination weddings.

Destination wedding concept to be extended to Raja Nahar Singh Palace in Faridabad

Following the success of the destination wedding concept at Yadavindra Garden, it is now proposed to extend this initiative to include Raja Nahar Singh Palace, Faridabad. The full garden rental at Yadavindra Garden is Rs 10 lakh.

The Chief Minister emphasized the need to further beautify the garden to attract more visitors. He suggested cultivating a variety of flowers, similar to those in the famous Tulip Garden of Srinagar, to enhance the garden’s aesthetic appeal. Additionally, he directed the Tourism Department to coordinate with the Forests and Wildlife Department to explore the possibility of establishing a mini zoo within the garden premises to further boost footfall.

He was informed that under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme 2.0 of the Government of India, a grant of Rs 65.82 crore has been received for the rejuvenation and beautification of Yadavindra Garden. Under the sceheme, various activities will be undertaken incuding development of parking, conservation and adaptive reuse of heritage structures, revival of existing water channel and fountain system, propsed roof top restaurant at budgerigar motel, conferanc hall, lighting and electrification of the campus and CCTV Surfeillance system. Moreover, there is also a proposal for the restoration of Rani Mahal. A fresh tender will be floated for the amusement park, which is expected to significantly increase visitor numbers at Yadavindra Garden.

Tikkar Tal in Morni to be developed as a major tourist destination, with ropeway and a swimming pool facilities

The Chief Minister directed that Tikkar Tal in Morni be developed as a major tourist destination, with facilities such as a ropeway and a swimming pool to be provided for visitors. He also instructed that the road leading to Tikkar Tal be widened to avoid traffic congestion and ensure the smooth flow of vehicles. It was informed that Rs 26.6 crore has been received from the Government of India for the development of Tikkar Tal. Additional attractions such as a zip line and Swiss tents are also proposed to be introduced at the site to attract more tourists.

While directing to enhance infrastructure at Surajkund in Faridabad, Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini instructed the development of a garden on 10 acres of land, modeled on the Mughal Garden in Delhi, where people can relax and unwind. He emphasized that the area should include ample greenery, adventure activities, lighting, music, and a laser show to provide an engaging experience for the general public.

While reviewing the Swaran Jayanti Guru Darshan Yatra Yojana, the Chief Minister directed that prominent religious destinations such as Nankana Sahib, Patna Sahib, Hemkund Sahib, Anandpur Sahib, and Chamkaur Sahib should also be included under the scheme. Under this initiative, financial assistance is provided to residents of Haryana who undertake the Guru Darshan Yatra up to Rs 6,000 or 50% of the actual expenditure per person, whichever is lower. It was also informed that, under another scheme of the department, students from government schools in the state are taken on educational tours to Manali. Additionally, a proposal has been received from the IRB to organize student trips to Jim Corbett National Park by train.

Famous Lal Sadak in Hansi to be developed as a Model Road

The Chief Minister said that the famous Lal Sadak in Hansi be developed as a model road. He has also directed the preparation of a detailed proposal for the development of Blue Bird Lake, Hisar, with provisions for water-based recreational activities such as speed boating, water scooters, jet skiing, rowing, and pedal boating. He further instructed the district administration and the concerned departments to ensure the availability of water throughout the year at the lake to enable the successful promotion and sustained operation of these activities.

It was informed that that online booking for wedding venues at the complexes is expected to commence from May 2025. During the meeting, the Chief Minister also reviewed the progress of restoration and conservation work at various heritage sites. It was informed that Pandav Mandir in Nalhar is being developed at a cost of Rs 2.047 crore, with approximately 90 percent of the work already completed. Additionally, the Mahendragarh–Madhogarh–Narnaul–Rewari heritage circuit is being developed at a cost of Rs. 29.61 crore. The project includes the restoration and conservation of Mahendragarh Fort, Rani Mahal, and the Bawdi at Madhogarh.

The Chief Minister directed that the district administration and concerned departments coordinate closely with the Tourism Department to ensure the timely availability of water and electricity at these heritage sites to support their restoration and future tourism activities.

Chandigarh, April 21: Taking serious note of the damage caused to crops and livestock due to sudden fires in fields over the past few days in the State, the Haryana government has decided to provide compensation to affected farmers. Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini held a meeting with senior officials at the Civil Secretariat here today and issued the necessary instructions in this regard.

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini stated that the state government is consistently making decisions in the best interest of farmers. "Our government stands with farmers in every situation," he emphasized. He said that the recent fire incidents in the state have caused damage to crops, livestock, and property, resulting in hardship for farmers. In response, the government has decided to provide compensation to those affected by these incidents.

The Chief Minister has also directed all Deputy Commissioners to gather reports on fire-related incidents. Affected farmers are advised to submit their applications to the respective Deputy Commissioners, ensuring that the compensation process can be carried out promptly.

The Chief Minister stated that farmers who have suffered losses will also receive assistance in the form of seeds and fertilizers for sowing the upcoming crops, ensuring that they do not face any additional financial burden.

Form 3-member committee to investigate complaints in Labour Welfare Board: Anil Vij

Chandigarh, April 21 - Haryana Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij has directed the Haryana Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board to form a three-member committee to investigate the complaints related to workers and the irregularities and flaws in their registration. The committee will submit its report to the department within three months.

Sh. Vij was chairing the meeting of Haryana Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board today. He directed to include Sunil Dhillon from the union, Bhupender Sharma from the employers and Joint Secretary A.K. Deshwal from the department in the three-member committee.

He directed to set up help desks for hearing workers’ issues at all block levels. He said both the call centre and help desk should be separate. It was informed in the meeting that call centres have been opened at regional level in Panchkula, Hisar and Sonipat. Sh. Vij said the fees of the workers who have applied for registration in the board must be refunded if their application is rejected due to any reason.

He said a detailed report of the decisions taken in the last meeting of the board should be prepared separately. Minister of Social Justice, Empowerment, Scheduled Caste and Backward Class Welfare and Antyodaya Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi, Principal Secretary of Labour and Employment Department Sh. Rajiv Ranjan, Labour Commissioner Sh. Maniram Sharma and other members and officials of the board were present in the meeting.

Omaxe City should pay pending principal amount within two months: Krishan Lal Panwar

Development and Panchayat Minister chairs District Public Relations and Grievance Committee meeting in Rohtak

Chandigarh, April 21 - Haryana's Development and Panchayat Minister Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar directed the local Omaxe City officials to ensure payment of the pending principal amount within two months, otherwise an FIR will be lodged against Omaxe City. He said that if additional charge has been imposed on Omaxe City without any reason, then it will be refunded.

Development and Panchayat Minister Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar was presiding over the monthly meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Committee in Rohtak district on Monday. Total 13 complaints were placed in the meeting of this committee, out of which seven complaints were settled on the spot and instructions were given to submit a report in respect of the other 6 complaints.

Hearing a complaint, he said that the amount of pending electricity bill by Omaxe City and the pending amount of the work of 33 KV sub-station power house etc. should be paid within two months. The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam has been asked to issue personal electricity meters to the residents living in Omaxe on payment of the pending amount. Omaxe has to pay pending electricity bill of more than Rs 72 lakh and deposit an amount of more than Rs 5 crore as bank guarantee. The ownership of the land has been transferred by Omaxe City.

The Development and Panchayat Minister, while hearing the complaint related to the closure of the factory being run illegally, said that if the complainant has reached a mutual settlement, then action should be taken against him for misleading the committee.

While praising Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, he said that it has been decided to give ownership rights to the people living in houses built on Shamlat land in rural areas of the state for more than 20 years provided that such houses have been built in 500 square yards of land for the last 20 years and these houses have not been constructed on pond or road land. He said that the powers to regularize such houses by depositing the prescribed collector rate have been handed over to the Director General of the department.
