Ludhiana 26 June 2024-Veterinary and Livestock Innovation and Incubation Foundation, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) is organizing Start-up and Entrepreneurship Grand Challenge on 27th and 28th June, 2024 in Collaboration with Startup Punjab, Govt. of Punjab. Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor informed that the main objective of the event is to encourage the innovative ideas among the students & stakeholders and to motivate them for entrepreneurship. He said that entrepreneurship in the livestock sector can create sustainability in the economy and will go a long way in overall development of the state. He said that this initiative will bring desirable and fruitful changes to establish an ecosystem in the university to encourage entrepreneurship.

Dr. R.S. Sethi, Director, Veterinary and Livestock Innovation and Incubation Foundation and Dean, College of Dairy and Food Science Technology said that it is the first time that Vet Varsity is going to organize Start-up and Entrepreneurship Grand Challenge. Around 200 participants have registered for the event and 86 innovative ideas have been received. Participants will pitch the idea in front of an expert panel and top three ideas will be given cash prizes. Along with this there will be a series of lectures on various aspects of entrepreneurship and start up.
