Ludhiana 16 August 2024-Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana initiated several courses including Bachelor of Vocation (B. Voc). In the recent years livestock professions are gaining popularity so this sector plays a cardinal role in providing livelihoods to farmers, as well as generating employment and enhancing nation’s economy. This B. Voc degree is a three-year program, and the eligibility for this course is 10+2 or equivalent in any stream.

For the admission in this course the mop-up round of counselling of B.Voc. is scheduled to be held on 20 August, 2024 (9.00 am onwards) at the Committee Room of Dean, College of Veterinary Science situated in Punjab Agricultural University campus. The portal for submission of online applications will be closed on 19.08.2024 (11.59 pm). The students can visit university website (www.gadvasu.in) for further details. Dr Yashpal and Dr RS Grewal, course coordinators told that this programme is a multiple entry and exit programme; for example, on completion of one semester, two semesters or six semesters, student will receive Certificate, Diploma and Degree, respectively. Dr Yashpal said that the primary objective of this program is to generate self-employment as program through integrated farming and entrepreneurship, including livestock farming, dairying, piggery, fisheries, and agricultural farming (vegetable, horticulture etc). Dr. Grewal mentioned that this mop-up round of counselling will provide an opportunity to the students who have not yet applied for this course.
