Chandigarh Police arrested Ram Kumar @ Goldy R/o # 6528 Sector 56 Chandigarh, Age 55 years while gambling at ground near Sports Complex Sector 56, Chandigarh and recovered cash Rs. 2900/- from his possession on 09.01.2025. A Case FIR No. 05, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Later on accused bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for consuming liquor

A Case FIR No. 04 U/S 68(1)B PP Act 2007 has been registered in Police Station Sector 19 Chandigarh against Karan Kukkar R/o # 226 Sector 20/A Chandigarh on 09.01.2025 for drinking and creating nuisance at public place. The accused was arrested from computer market near toilet Sector 20/D Chandigarh and later on accused bailed out. Investigation of this is in progress.

Snatching

A Case FIR No 03 U/S 309(4) has been registered in Police Station Sector 19 Chandigarh on the complaint of Kadir R/o # Village Burail, Chandigarh against three unknown person who were on activa no not known which sped away after snatching complainant purse containing Aadhar card and cash Rs. 20,000/- near PS – East Chowk Sector 19 side on 07.01.2025. A Case FIR No 03 U/S 409,420,120/B IPC & 24 Immigration Act has been registered in Police Station Sector 34 Chandigarh on thecomplaint of Mukesh Basataia R/o # 177 near Mini Bank Ismailabaad Kurukshetra, HR against Malkit Singh and Rupinder R/o # First floor Piccadilly, Sector 34 Chandigarh both the accused cheated with complainants Rs. 01 Lakh Fifty five thousand regarding visa. A Case FIR No. 02, U/S 94 has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on the complaint of one lady R/o # Village Raipur Khurd, Chandigarh against unknown person who thrown an unconscious newborn baby near chakki Raipur Khurd, Chandigarh on 09.01.2025. Unconscious baby lifted to GMCH-32 Chandigarh where duty doctor declare him brought dead. Investigation of the case is in progress.
