MAHENDERGARH, 16.04.25-Professor Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice Chancellor of the Central University of Haryana (CUH), has been conferred with the prestigious National University Governance and Management Award by the Confederation of Indian Universities (CIU) during a ceremony held in New Delhi. This distinguished award recognizes Professor Kumar’s outstanding contribution to academic excellence and administrative leadership, as well as his consistent efforts toward creating opportunities for the intellectual development of students.
The award was presented by The High Commissioner of South Africa Prof. Anil Sooklal at a function held in Delhi and on this occasion Dr. Markandey Rai, Chancellor, Indira Gandhi Technological and Medical Sciences University; Ven. Bhikkhu Sanghsena, President, Mahabodhi International Meditation Center; Dr. Priyaranjan Trivedi, President, Confederation of Indian Universities and International Association of Educators for World Peace and Dr. Shyam N. Pandey, Chancellor, The Global Open University Nagaland were also present.
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar has worked as Vice-Chancellor of Guru Jambeshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar for about 6 years and had an additional charge of Chaudhary Bansi Lal University, Bhiwani and Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Murthal Sonepat. He has led the University to a level which provides University a National Ranking and International Standing
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar also said that Central University of Haryana is moving on the path of continuous progress along with all its stakeholders. Continuous efforts are being made in a planned manner in the University to achieve the goals of the National Education Policy. As a result of these efforts, the contribution of the University is being appreciated on various platforms. Professor Kumar also extended his heartfelt thanks to Confederation of Indian Universities for their continued support and encouragement.
