Two arrested in Snatching
A case FIR No. 73 u/s 304(2), 3(5), 317(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-19 on the complaint of woman resident of Kaimbwala, Chandigarh, alleging that Vinit and Ganesh, riding a motorcycle, snatched her Realme mobile phone near House No. 16, Sector-19, Chandigarh, on 12-12-2025 at about 4:50 pm. Both accused were apprehended on the spot and are in police lockup. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Snatching
A case FIR No. 135 u/s 304(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-26 on the complaint of a woman R/o Shastri Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh, alleging that two unknown motorcyclists snatched her Redmi mobile phone near Police Lines, Sector-26, Chandigarh, on 12-12-2025. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested in Prohibited Meat Delivery
A case FIR No. 189 u/s 196, 299, 61(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-11 on the complaint of Ankush Gupta R/o Sector-29B, Chandigarh, alleging that Mohammad Harun was delivering beef in a mosque at Kabristan, Sector-25, Chandigarh, on 12-12-2025 at about 9:00 am. The accused was arrested and later released on bail.
Fetus found
A case FIR No. 118 u/s 94 BNS has been registered at Police Station Industrial Area on the complaint of Nishan Singh r/o Village Safipur, Amritsar, Punjab, alleging that an unknown person abandoned a fetus near Tata Steel Yard, Village Daria, Chandigarh, which was found on 12-12-2025 at about 11:30 am.
A case FIR No. 233 u/s 94 BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-31 on the complaint of Ct. Manoj Kumar (ITBP), R/o Village Behlana, Chandigarh, alleging that an unknown person abandoned a newborn male baby near ITBP Campus, Village Behlana, Chandigarh, on 12-12-2025. The baby was admitted to GMCH-32, where doctors declared him dead. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Assault
A case FIR No. 257 u/s 191(2), 191(3), 333, 117(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-36 on the complaint of Deepak Singh, R/o Village Patkhauli, District Basti, Uttar Pradesh, alleging that Parveen, D.C., Kapil, Lala, Raju, Shivam, Bhollu, Vikas, Krishna and two unknown persons attacked and assaulted him at SD Hotel, Village Kajheri, Chandigarh, on 11-12-2025 causing injuries. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A case FIR No. 258 u/s 281, 125(A) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-36 on the complaint of woman R/o #3048, Sector-35D, Chandigarh, alleging that an unknown motorcyclist hit her and fled from the spot on the Sector-35/43 dividing road on 10-12-2025. The victim sustained injuries and was admitted to a private hospital. Investigation of this case is in progress.
