Three persons arrested in Arms Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Mohit R/o # 1456/28, Sector-29 B, Chandigarh from slip road Sector 29/31 Dividing Road on 04-03-2026 and recovered one kamanidar knife from his possession. A Case FIR No. 33 U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in Police Station Industrial Area Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Shivam R/o # 1857 Ph-II Ram Darbar, UT Chandigarh from near Burada Ground Village Dariya Chandigarh on 04-03-2026 along with motor cycle no. CH-01-DC-1883 and recovered one kamanidar knife from his possession. A Case FIR No. 34 U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in Police Station Industrial Area Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Sahil @ Ghoda R/o Jhuggi No. 33, Bhatta Colony, Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh from near Raipur Kalan T-Point on 04-03-2026 and one foldable knife was recovered from his possession. A Case FIR No. 52 U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act BNS has been registered in Police Station Mauli Jagran Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

One person arrested in Excise Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Anil Kumar R/o # 2202, Sector-45, Burail Chandigarh from Near Labour Chowk Sector-44 Chandigarh on 04-03-2026 and recovered 12 half of royal general whiskey (375 ml), 3 bottle of Santra Deshi Sharab (750 ml), 54 quarters of Santra Desi Sharab (180 ml each) from his possession. A Case FIR No. 31 U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in Police Station Sector-34 Chandigarh. Accused later bailed out. Investigation of this case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 35 U/S 115(2), 117(2), 118(1), 351(2), 3(5) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sarangpur Chandigarh on the complaint of Gian Singh R/o # 917, EWS Colony Dhanas Chandigarh against Vijay @ Topla, Santosh, Arun and others they beaten to complainant’s friend namely Vikas R/o # 6/C, EWS Colony Dhanas Chandigarh Near # 917, EWS Colony, Dhanas Chandigarh on 04-03-2026. Victim sustained injuries got admitted to GMSH-16 Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.
