Chandigarh, May 5 — A five-member delegation from Vishwakarma Welfare Society, Nabha today met the Honorable Governor of Punjab Gulab Chand Kataria to celebrate the 303rd birth anniversary of Sardar Jassa Singh Ramgarhia Ji and officially invited him to attend the 303rd birth anniversary event of great Sikh warrior Jassa Singh Ramgarhia to be held in Nabha on May 17, 2026. The Governor warmly welcomed the delegation and conveyed his best wishes to the organizers.
The delegation representing Vishwakarma Welfare Society, Nabha also submitted the official invitation letter to the Governor. Other members of the delegation included Society President Bhagwant Singh Ramgarhia, Akashpreet Singh, Bhagwant Singh, National Scheduled Caste Alliance President Paramjit Singh Kainth and Jora Singh. The delegation assured the Governor that all administrative procedures and government protocols are being followed in organizing the event.
On this occasion, Bhagwant Singh Ramgarhia said, “It is a shared responsibility for Vishwakarma Welfare Society that we respect the legacy of Jassa Singh Ramgarhia and ensure that this event is in keeping with his greatness. All necessary approvals are being taken from the concerned authorities for this historic event.”
Paramjit Singh Kainth said, “Jassa Singh Ramgarhia holds a very honourable place in the history of Punjab. It is necessary to pass on his legacy of military valour, social reform and institution building to the next generations. Such events are not just formal, but are a means of increasing historical awareness and strengthening social unity.” He said that it is the duty of every generation to connect with the ideals of such great men and draw inspiration.
