Chandigarh, May 5:- The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh carried out a focused enforcement drive in Sector 48, outside the Motor Market, to curb encroachments and remove unauthorized activities. Conducted as per directions of the Commissioner, the drive resulted in the impounding of 14 dumped vehicles and removal of 4 illegal vendors from the area.

During the operation, a total of 18 challans were issued for various violations. The drive was executed smoothly and peacefully under the supervision of one Enforcement Inspector, supported by a team of three Sub-Inspectors.

The action aimed to decongest public spaces, ensure smooth traffic movement, and restore order in the busy market area. Officials reiterated that such drives will continue across the city to maintain civic discipline and prevent unauthorized occupation of public land.
