Entrepreneur Awareness & Special Vendor Development Programme for SC-ST Entrepreneurs on May 25 in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, May 23, 2026:The National SC-ST Hub, Ludhiana, under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, in association with the Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI) – North India, will organise an “Entrepreneur Awareness & Special Vendor Development Programme” for existing and aspiring SC-ST entrepreneurs on Monday, May 25, 2026, from 9:00 AM onwards at the Auditorium, Baba Makhan Shah Lobana Bhawan, Sector 30A, Chandigarh.
The programme aims to promote entrepreneurship, enhance business opportunities and encourage skill development among members of the SC-ST community. It will serve as an important platform to create awareness about various government schemes, financial assistance mechanisms and business development strategies available for entrepreneurs.
Experts and representatives from several government organisations, public sector undertakings, financial institutions and industry bodies will participate in the programme to guide and interact with attendees. Participants will get an opportunity to engage with officials and professionals from organisations including GeM, SAIL, POWERGRID, FCI, BBMB, IOCL, SBI, EXIM Bank, MSME DFO Ludhiana, DIC Chandigarh, SC-ST Development Corporation Ltd., as well as training institutions such as ITI and RSETI.
The programme will also provide practical insights into entrepreneurship development, vendor registration, procurement opportunities and effective business management practices. A large number of existing and aspiring entrepreneurs from the SC-ST community across the Chandigarh Tricity region are expected to participate.
The organisers expressed confidence that the initiative will play a significant role in promoting self-employment, strengthening entrepreneurial capabilities and empowering local entrepreneurs.

Parent-Teacher Meetings Held in Government Schools to Strengthen Academic Partnership
Chandigarh, May 23, 2026:Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) were successfully conducted in government schools with the objective of strengthening collaboration between parents and teachers for the holistic development of students. The meetings witnessed enthusiastic participation from parents, who engaged in meaningful interactions regarding their children’s academic progress, behaviour, and overall development.
During the meetings, teachers shared the performance of students in the Formative Assessments (FAs), highlighting their strengths as well as areas requiring additional attention and improvement. Parents were apprised of their wards’ learning progress and were encouraged to extend continuous academic support at home to further enhance learning outcomes.
The holiday homework prepared for students was also discussed in detail. Parents were informed about its objectives, which include reinforcing classroom learning, encouraging creativity, and ensuring constructive engagement of students during the vacation period.
Teachers also shared a comprehensive roadmap for the academic session, outlining key academic milestones, co-curricular activities, assessment schedules, and various initiatives planned for the all-round development of students. The discussions emphasized the importance of a strong and consistent partnership between parents and schools in achieving educational goals and nurturing students’ overall growth.
As part of the interaction, Mid-Day Meals (MDM) were served to the attending parents, giving them an opportunity to experience the quality, hygiene, and nutritional standards of the meals being provided to students under the scheme.
The PTMs concluded on a positive and encouraging note, with parents appreciating the schools’ efforts towards transparency, academic planning, and student welfare.
