Chandigarh, July 27 - Haryana Governor Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh today paid floral tributes to former President of India and Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on his death anniversary at Lok Bhawan here.

Paying homage to the former President, the Governor remembered Dr. Kalam as a distinguished scientist, visionary statesman and an epitome of simplicity, humility and wisdom. He said that Dr. Kalam's extraordinary contributions to India's defence and space programmes laid the foundation for the country's technological advancement and self-reliance, earning him the title of the "Missile Man of India."

Prof. Ghosh said that Dr. Kalam dedicated his life to the service of the nation and inspired millions of young minds through his vision, values and unwavering commitment to excellence. His life and achievements continue to motivate the youth of the country to dream big, work hard and contribute towards nation-building.
