Chandigarh, July 26:- The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh continued its sustained enforcement campaign against illegal street vending by conducting a special morning drive from 9:00 a.m. in Sectors 41, 56, 26 (Outer Mandi) and Sector 19. The Enforcement Wing removed unauthorized encroachments to ensure smooth pedestrian movement, improve traffic flow and maintain public order.
During the drive, 40 illegally parked rehris (handcarts) were impounded and challans were issued against violators in accordance with the applicable municipal rules. The Municipal Corporation reiterated its commitment to keeping public spaces free from unauthorized encroachments and appealed to vendors to operate only from designated vending zones to avoid penal action.
