One arrested under NDPS ACT
A Case FIR No. 96 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Maloya on the complaint of ASI Abhishek No. 1922/CHG, PP-DMC, against Gursewak Singh S/o Ram Singh, R/o Ward No. 6, Village Majra, Mohali (Punjab), aged 38 years, who was apprehended at Togga Barrier on 31.07.2026 at about 12:40 AM. During the search, 14.11 grams of heroin and 3.61 grams of Ice (Methamphetamine) were recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and lodged in police lock-up. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested under ARMS ACT
A Case FIR No. 97 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-26 against Ravi, R/o #722/10, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh, who was apprehended near Plot No. 29, Timber Market, Sector-26 on 30.07.2026. During the search, one button-operated knife was recovered from his possession. The accused has been arrested and lodged in police lock-up.
Two arrested under Voluntarily Causing Hurt
A Case FIR No. 79 u/s 3(5), 115(2), 126(2), 118(1) BNS has been registered at Police Station Mani Majra on the complaint of Sh. Sachin , R/o #1480, Chudiya Wala Mohalla, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, against Sahil and Sahjad, who allegedly attacked the complainant with a pair of scissors on 30.07.2026, causing injuries. The victim was admitted to GMCH-32. Both accused were arrested and lodged in police lock-up. Investigation of the case is in progress .
A Case FIR No. 39 u/s 115(2), 126(2), 3(5), 351(2), 351(3) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-19 on the complaint of Sh. Lakshay Malhotra, R/o #32/D, Sector-30/B, Chandigarh, against Pintu (Salesman) and his associate Arjun, who allegedly attacked and stabbed the complainant at his shop in Sadar Bazar, Sector-19, Chandigarh, on 28.07.2026, causing injuries. Investigation of the case is in progress.
ROBBERY
A Case FIR No. 117 u/s 126(2), 115, 309(1), 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-39 on the complaint of Sh. Pankaj Kumar S/o Gyan Parkash, R/o #101/18, Village Atawa, Sector-42, Chandigarh, against two unknown motorcycle-borne persons, who attacked the complainant with a sharp weapon and forcibly snatched his mobile phone, Aadhaar card and ₹650/- near the Sector-37/41 Light Point on 31.07.2026. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Cyber Cheating
A Case FIR No. 117 u/s 318(4), 319(2), 336(3), 338, 340(2), 61(2) BNS has been registered at Cyber Crime Police Station on the complaint of Sh. Tony Bal S/o Malkit Singh, R/o #2092, Sector-44/C, Chandigarh, against an unknown person, who cheated the complainant of ₹3,32,426/- through a fake malicious Adani Gas APK file for gas bill payment. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A Case FIR No. 118 u/s 318(4), 319(2), 336(3), 338, 340(2), 61(2) BNS has been registered at Cyber Crime Police Station on the complaint of Sh. Jai Prakash Singh S/o Mohar Singh, R/o #260, Sarangpur, Chandigarh, against an unknown person, who cheated the complainant of ₹1,69,635/- through a fake malicious Adani Gas APK file for gas bill payment. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Paramjit Singh S/o Harcharan Singh, R/o #239, Sector-35/A, Chandigarh, against an unknown person, who cheated the complainant of ₹1,20,000/- through a fake malicious Adani Gas APK file for gas bill payment. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested under Grievous hurt to deter a Public Servant
A Case FIR No. 84 u/s 121(1), 132 BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-03 against Samarth, R/o #186, Sector-11/A, Chandigarh, who allegedly created a nuisance, abused police officials and obstructed them from performing their official duty. During the scuffle, the accused bit the left thumb of HGV Jasbir No. 873/CHG, causing injuries. Investigation of the case is in progress. During investigation one person arrested in this case.
