One arrested under NDPS
A case FIR No. 28 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Crime Branch, Chandigarh against Sahil, R/o H. No. 2250, Sector 40/C, Chandigarh, aged 28 years, who was apprehended near the petrol pump, Sector 41, Chandigarh, on 06.11.2026. During his search, 41.02 grams of ICE was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and is in police lock-up. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A case FIR No. 179 u/s 281, 125(A) & 106(1) BNS has been registered at Police Station Manimajra on the complaint of Aakash S/o Anil Kumar, R/o H. No. 577, Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, against an unknown rider of a white-coloured Activa bearing registration No. HR-16U-8504, who allegedly hit a pedestrian near Pepsi Turn, Makhan Majra, on 18.10.2026. Both the pedestrian and the Activa rider sustained injuries and were admitted to hospital. During treatment, the victim, namely Ashok, succumbed to his injuries. Investigation of the case is in progress.
THEFT
A case FIR No. 174 u/s 305 & 331(4) BNS has been registered at Police Station 34 on the complaint of Vishnu Gupta R/o H. No. 1170, Sector 44/B, Chandigarh, against an unknown person who allegedly stole electric wires worth approximately ₹1,00,000/- from his house on 25.10.2026. Investigation of the case is in progress.
