Chandigarh, December 15:-Acting on the directives of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, the state government has set up a Committee to plan and execute various programmes and events to commemorate the 350th Birth anniversary of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

                Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson said that the committee had been entrusted with the task of organising symposiums/exhibitions as part of Guru Gobind Singh Ji's birth anniversary celebrations to disseminate his teachings, and propagate his life and works amongst the humanity. This includes symposiums and exhibitions at PAU Ludhiana, GNDU Amritsar and Punjabi University Patiala on December 21, 22 and 23, respectively.

The Committee comprises Additional Chief Secretary (Development), Additional Chief Secretary (Higher Education), Vice-Chancellor, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, Vice-Chancellor, Punjabi University, Patiala and Vice-Chancellor Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar.
