Chandigarh, Mar 21- Haryana Governor, Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki said that the resolution of ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’ taken by the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, could be realised by organising events such as Bharat Kesari Dangal. He said that Bharat Kesari Dangal is a symbol of feeling of national unity.
        The Governor was addressing the gathering after inaugurating the three-day 3rd Bharat Kesari Dangal-2018 organised to commemorate Shaheedi Diwas, at Bhiwani today.
        He said that sports can play significant role in national integration. Being a small state, Haryana has been bringing laurels to the country. He said that Haryana is a progressive state in terms of sports as well as agriculture, happiness and development.
        Prof. Solanki said that players from Haryana had given outstanding performance in Khelo India Competition and bagged first position in the country. He said that 170 players below 17 years of age were honoured for their achievements at Haryana Raj Bhavan.
        Speaking on the occasion, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister, Mr. Anil Vij said that after Gurugram and Ambala, the third Bharat Kesari Dangal was being organised at Bhiwani. With a view to promote traditional sports, the State Government had started Kabaddi Competition with first prize of Rs one crore to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Ji. The Kabaddi Competition had already been held at Sonepat and Jind.     He said that the State Government would soon introduce national level boxing competition. 
          He said that under the ‘Catch Them Young’ policy, 20 golden jubilee sports nurseries were being established in each district. The government has a plan to establish an international level stadium and an indoor stadium in each district. He said that alongwith sportspersons, adequate amount of honorarium and facilities were begin provided to coaches and trainers.
        As many as eight teams from Haryana, Punjab, Maharashtra, Railway, Rajasthan, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh are participating in this Dangal.
          On this occasion, the Governor honoured senior players and trainers.
          Principal Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs, Mr. Ashok Khemka presented vote of thanks.

*Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Minister, Mr. Anil Vij said that on the pattern of Kabaddi and Wrestling, a Boxing league would be started from August or September this year.
        Mr. Vij was speaking at the inaugural function of three-day 3rd Bharat Kesari Dangal-2018 organised to commemorate Shaheedi Diwas, at Bhiwani today.
          The event was inaugurated by Governor, Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki. He honoured Dronacharya, Dhyan Chand, Arjuna and Bhim awardees with memento. 
          Those honoured included Dronacharya Awardees Mr. Mahabir Prasad of Hisar and Mr. Mahabir Singh Phogat of Bhiwani. Similarly, Dhyan Chand Awardees Mr. Kuldeep Singh and Mr. Anil Maan of Sonepat, Arjuna Awardees Mr. Satyavan of Rohtak, Mr. Ramesh Kumar Gulia of Sonepat, Mr. Yogeshwar Dutt of Sonepat, Mr. Bajrang Poonia Jhajjar, Ms. Geeta Phogat of Bhiwani, Ms. Neha Rathi of Faridabad, Mr. Virender Singh Jhajjar, Mr. Amit Kumar of Rohtak, Mr. Manoj Kumar of Jhajjar, Mr. Virender Singh of Bhiwani, Mr. Manoj Kumar of Jhajjar.
