Vodafone Idea and Bharti Airtel lost subscribers in the month according to Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI’s) latest subscriber data report.

Jio added 2.44 lakh subscribers in October 2018 and was the only private telecom operator to have added a substantial number of subscribers, while State owned BSNL added 62,916 subscribers, according to the TRAI Report.

Jio, in fact, added a whopping 16.53 lakh subscribers in Haryana in the last seven months (April to October 2018), while all other operators except BSNL lost subscribers.

In end October 2018, Vodafone Idea had 1.14 crore subscribers, Jio 64.23 lakh subscribers, BSNL 48.42 lakh susbcribers and Bharti Airtel 38.23 lakh subscribers, according to the TRAI report.

Vodafone Idea lost 2.83 lakh subscribers in October 2018, Bharti Airtel lost 46,300 subscribers, while Jio gained 2.44 lakh subscribers.

In October 2018, Jio had a customer market share (CMS) of 23.4% in Haryana, Voda Idea 41.7%, BSNL 17.6%, Airtel 13.9% while others had a market share of 3.4%.

As of October 31, 2018 the total number of subscribers in Haryana stood at 2.75 crore and the service area saw a net reduction of 72,022 subscribers.
