Chandigarh, April 4- Haryana Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij said that those who have returned from Tablighi Jamaat from March 1 will be tested for COVID-19, while presiding over a review meeting on COVID-19 with officers of the Health Department today.

Mr. Vij said that every person in the State who has come in contact with the attendees of the Tablighi Jamaat should inform the administration so that they can be tested. He further said that 2.5 lakh PPE kits were ordered out of which some kits have arrived and have been distributed in all the civil hospitals of the state.

He said that Ayurveda should also be adopted to increase immunity. He further said that one can have herbal tea made from basil, cinnamon, black pepper, sugar, and dry grapes which should be drunk once or twice a day. In addition, half a teaspoon of turmeric powder in 150 ml warm milk should be taken once or twice a day and hot water should be consumed as much as possible to enhance immunity so as to fight and prevent COVID-19 besides maintaining social distancing, he added.

The Health Minister assured that there will be no shortage of essential medicines and any necessary items for health workers and their is adequate availability of same in the state
