MAHENDERGARH, 21.04.25-The Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh has been awarded the prestigious ‘Cyber Safe India Award 2025’ by the Aasta Foundation Trust in recognition of its outstanding contribution to fostering a secure and digitally aware environment through impactful initiatives, advocacy, and sustained efforts in promoting cyber security and best practices.
The award was presented to the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, during the 'Cyber Safe India' conclave held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The honour was conferred by Shri Prithviraj Harichandan, Minister of Law, Works & Excise; Dr. Mukesh Mahaling, Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Odisha; and Dr. Stalin Mishra, Chairperson of Aasta Foundation Trust.
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Haryana, was present as a Guest of Honour at the conclave. He emphasized the importance of ongoing efforts to ensure cyber security in the wake of rapid technological advancements. He highlighted the continuous initiatives undertaken by the university to strengthen cyber security and shared details about the necessary measures and latest developments being implemented at the institutional level. Prof. Kumar described the event organized by the Aasta Foundation Trust as the need of the hour, stating that such initiatives will undoubtedly strengthen the ongoing efforts in the field of cyber safety.
He further noted that the award recognizes CUH's commitment to technological excellence and innovation. CUH regularly organizes workshops and awareness programmes on cyber security, digital safety, and financial literacy, ensuring the integration of technology into its day-to-day operations. The Vice-Chancellor expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all stakeholders for their cooperation and efforts, which led to this national recognition.
