New Delhi29.10.20-: Delhi Tourism brings forth festive cheer with the Diwali Mela being organised at its Dilli Haat Pitampura by the Ministry of Minority Affairs. The Mela is being organized from 04 -14 November 2020. In order to bolster the cause of ‘Vocal for Local’, 100 stalls at Dilli Haat Pitampura and stalls at Dilli Haat INA have been given to Artisans. Further, fifty-one temporary spaces have been allotted to commercial vendors at a subsidised rate with Dilli Haat INA. Delhi Tourism has a strong emphasis on implementation of safety protocols in full effect at the two locations.
Festivals have always been an attractive part of tourism where visitors get to the experience the regional culture at its best. With Diwali around the corner and Delhi being the capital of our nation, it is only befitting that Delhi Tourism curates and offers the choicest of festive experiences. Allowing just 100 people in at a time for ensuring physical distancing, coupled with regular sanitisation of the premise, hand sanitizer stations and strict adherence to the general guidelines of wearing masks, both the Dilli Haats are set to welcome visitors.
Alongside the ornate handicrafts that the Dilli Haats are renowned for, the festival will offer various products for Diwali including diyas, handcrafted lamps, candles, traditional decorative items and the like. Encapsulating the essence of the much-loved festival of lights. Adding to the season’s festivities for not only its visitors but for the artists and artisans participating in the Diwali festivities at our Dilli Haat INA and Pitampura, Delhi Tourism brings to life its yearly Diwali offering with precautionary measures in place.
