CHANDIGARH,30.06.22-CII congratulated the Government of Haryana for attaining 3rd Position in the Ease of Doing Business ranking announced today by the Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India in the Business Reforms Action Plan (BRAP) report.
In a statement, Mr Rohit Relan, Chairman, CII Haryana State Council & CMD, Bharat Seats Ltd said that this improvement in State’s position in comparison to the last ranking has been the result of concrete steps taken by the Government of Haryana towards 100% implementation of the State Business Reforms Action Plan 2020.
Mr Relan emphasized that CII has been actively submitting suggestions to the Government of Haryana for improving the ease of doing business scenario in Haryana and the Government on its part has been positively considering and implementing our suggestions which have benefitted the economy as a whole.
The exercise is aimed at promoting competition among states and improving the overall business environment for domestic and international competitors. The parameters on which the rankings are based include construction permits, labour regulation, environmental registration, access to information, land availability and single window system. “Though the State got 16th position in the last rankings but it has not dampened the spirit of the State Government towards introducing business reforms and the Administration in consultation with Industry has undertaken various measures that has resulted in significant improvement in Haryana’s ranking in the current report,” said Mr Relan.
Among 6 other States, the State of Punjab was also categorized as a ‘Top Achiever’.
