Chandigarh, 18th April 2025:The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) today staged a strong protest against the Congress party. The protest began at the BJP office in Sector 33 and aimed to reach Congress Bhawan, but on the way, the police used water cannons to prevent the workers. During this, hundreds of workers raised slogans of “Congress Party Murdabad,” burned an effigy of Rahul Gandhi, and expressed their anger against Congress’ corruption.

On this occasion, the entire leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha and the Bharatiya Janata Party was present and led the workers.

This protest had already been announced by the Bharatiya Janata Party, Chandigarh. In a press conference held on 18th April, State President Jitendra Pal Malhotra sharply criticized Congress over the National Herald scam.

He accused the Gandhi family of turning the legacy of the freedom struggle into private property. He explained that the ‘Young Indian’ company, in which Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi hold 38% each, was transferred a loan of ₹90 crore for just ₹50 lakh. Through this scam, the National Herald’s properties, including those in prime locations like Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Bhopal, and Patna, were taken over by the Gandhi family.

The State President said that Congress had claimed Young Indian was a charitable organization, but no proof of any charitable work has ever been shown. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has conducted a thorough investigation into this matter, and Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are currently out on bail.

He said, “It is time for the Gandhi family to stand in the dock of law, and every BJP worker is committed to making the public aware of the truth.”

Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha In-Charge Ramesh Sahore said, “The youth are the future of the country, and they will not stay silent against corruption anymore. This movement signifies the decisive role of youth power.”

He also added that Congress’ language threatening institutions like the ED is a direct insult to the judicial process, which cannot be accepted under any circumstances.

The protest by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha is a symbol of public outrage against Congress’ corruption. The BJP made it clear that it will continue to fight for the nation’s and the people’s welfare, exposing any form of corruption.
