Chandigarh,18.09.22- PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with American Society of Heating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) organized Panel discussions under the aegis of its Annual Expo - Ins & Outs 2022 themed on Smart & Sustainable Spaces and Building Energy Efficiency at Parade Ground, Sector 17.
Ar. Surinder Bahga, Principal Architect, Saakaar Foundation moderated the Session wherein he emphasized that technology plays a pivotal role in making the cities smart. Smart cities rely on technology that is up to date with current trends, as well as updated and sustainable infrastructure. The second session was presided by Balkar Singh, Secretary, ASHRAE, Chandigarh who is also the retired joint director of PEDA. He emphasized on the need of more green building which could help in the conservation of environment and nature.
C P Singh, Head, Business Development, KEI Industries Ltd gave a well-structured presen-tation elaborating in detail the wide range of products by KEI Industries Limited that are ab-solutely suitable for building a sustainable infrastructure, particularly their products built on zero liquid discharge to ensure no wastage.
Harmeek Singh, Director Sales, Schneider Electric stated that the majority of a person's time is spent in an infrastructure space, hence it is important to focus on making the buildings sustainable.
Prashant Marwaha, Deputy Director, Inter Solar Systems provided a thorough presentation on their company's products that use solar energy holistically. Prabh Simran Singh, Direc-tor, IEE Lifts apprised the participants of the unique feature provided in their equipment that uses AI based analytics and regular inspections to identify potential issues in it before it cause problems.
Anshul Singla, Director of Giga Solar, spoke about the necessity for and methods of transi-tioning to sustainable energy. He also informed everyone about the importance of battery storage, particularly in the context of electric vehicles.
Dr. Prateek Srivastava, Associate Professor at Chitkara University, who gave a technical presentation on radiant heating and cooling systems, other knowledgeable speakers with backgrounds from architecture, government, real estate, and academia deliberated their viewpoints during the panel discussion on building energy efficiency.
