MOGA,11.03.23-Satish Kaushik was born on 13 April 1956 in Mahendragarh village of Haryana. He did his studies from Haryana and Delhi. In the year 1972, he took his graduation degree from Kirori Mal College, Delhi. Then studied acting from FTII. During an interview, Satish told that he had come to Mumbai to become an actor, but even after being an actor educated from NSD and FTII, he was not getting work. Used to work in a company for survival. Then he started his career as an assistant director in the year 1983 with the film Masoom.
