SOLAN,03.07.24-1 HP Girls BN NCC Solan is conducting two Annual Training Camps, from 30th June to 9th July and from 10th July to 19th July.First camp commenced on June 30, 2024, at the campus of the University of Horticulture and Forestry under the leadership of Camp Commandant Colonel Sanjay Shandil and Deputy Camp Commandant Major Taruna. This camp brings together 719 girl cadets from various schools and colleges across Himachal Pradesh, along with 9 ANOs and CTOs.
The first day of the camp began with the traditional reveille, marked by the sounding of the bugle, followed by a session of morning PT (Physical Training). This invigorating start set a disciplined tone for the cadets.
The second parade commenced with a drill class, which was followed by the opening address by Camp Commandant Colonel Sanjay Shandil. In his motivational speech, Colonel Shandil warmly welcomed all the participants and emphasized the importance and role of the NCC in shaping their lives. He highlighted the numerous opportunities and the significant impact that participation in the NCC can have on their personal and professional development. Colonel Shandil encouraged the cadets to take full advantage of the training and activities offered during the camp to build a brighter future for themselves.
The afternoon session featured a cultural function, including a solo song competition, showcasing the diverse talents of the cadets. This was followed by sports classes, providing the cadets with opportunities to engage in physical activities and promote teamwork and camaraderie.
A medical team is stationed at the camp location around the clock to provide any necessary medical care. Additionally, four lady constables are present 24 hours a day to ensure the security and safety of the girl cadets.
