On 21.07.2024, Naka deployed near Cremation Ground, Indl. Area and the police party apprehended the accused person Pankaj @ Karan S/o Jora Singh R/o # 284, Mauli Jagran Chandigarh, Age 20 years, who was coming on a motorcycle HR03P-7504.

CHANDIGARH-23.07.2024- Keeping in view of the increase in MV theft cases in the city, as per the instructions/directions of Senior Officers Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS, W/SSP/UT Chandigarh and Sh. Mridul, IPS, SP City, a dedicated team of Police Post Dariya headed by SI Sudesh Kumar 1442/CHG, PS-Indl. Area and under the close supervision of Sh. Rajnish SDPO/East. The team laid down floating Nakas to nab the culprits.

On 21.07.2024, Naka deployed near Cremation Ground, Indl. Area and the police party apprehended the accused person Pankaj @ Karan S/o Jora Singh R/o # 284, Mauli Jagran Chandigarh, Age 20 years, who was coming on a motorcycle HR03P-7504. He had hidden the registration number plate of the said bike by putting a cloth on number plate. The said motor cycle is found to be stolen in e-FIR case no. 650 dated-21.07.2024 U/s-303(2) BNS, PS-Indl. Area, Chandigarh. He was produced before the court and obtained one day police custody.

During further interrogation 06 other motorcycles, stolen from various places of Chandigarh & Panchkula recovered on his instance. During questioning 05 android mobile phones, which he had stolen from Zirakpur & Panchkula have also been recovered and the recovered articles taken into police possession U/s-106 BNSS.
