One arrested with 960 bottles of illegal liquor
A Case FIR No. 108 U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act & 61(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station Industrial Area against Shree Ram Bishnoi, who was apprehended in a truck containing 960 bottles of liquor without a valid permit.
Attempt to murder
A Case FIR No. 66 U/S 109, 3(5), 351(2)(3), 25-27-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station IT Park on the complaint of Krishan. The complainant reported that on 22-11-2024, around 10:00 PM, he was beaten and fired upon with a pistol near his residence by individuals identified as Monu @ Marori, Monu @ Kandu, Nagad, and Rahul @ Rally, all of whom are currently unknown. A missed fire cartridge and a blood-stained jacket were recovered from the scene. The victim sustained injuries and is admitted to GH-16. Investigation of this case is in progress.
Cheating
A Case FIR No. 110 U/S 319(2), 318(4), 338, 336(3), 340(2), 61(2) BNS has been registered at Cyber Crime Police Station on the complaint of Madhavjeet Singh Grewal. The complainant stated that an unknown person committed a cyber fraud amounting to ₹57,00,000 in the name of investment. The complainant signed up for a training class in May and was persuaded to invest through a fraudulent platform posing as an international arm of Upstox. The scheme was allegedly led by a person named Rajat Chopra, who claimed to be competing in the Global Trading Championship (GTC). The victim was promised substantial returns. Investigation of this case is in progress.
A Case FIR No. 183 U/S 409, 420 IPC has been registered at Police Station 34 on the complaint of Hardeep Singh. The complainant stated that Amandip Singh, owner of Euro Can Global Pvt. Ltd., Sector 34, Chandigarh, committed fraud during the process of a study visa application for Malta. Investigation of this case is in progress.
A Case FIR No. 184 U/S 409, 420, 120B IPC & 24 Immigration Act has been registered at Police Station 34 on the complaint of Madan Kumar. The complainant alleged fraud related to a visa application for Canada by Gurvinder and others of Flyway Consultancy. Investigation of this case is in progress.
