Dharamshala, November 24: A free mega medical camp, jointly organized by Sarv Kalyankari Sanstha and Navjeevan Foundation, was held today at Khaniyara, near Dharamshala. The camp marked the 45th such initiative by Sarv Kalyankari Sanstha and was inaugurated by Dharamshala MLA Sudhir Sharma. Specialists from PGI Chandigarh, along with renowned spine specialist Dr. Raj Bahadur, provided consultations to the patients.
The camp witnessed tremendous enthusiasm among the people. Long queues for registration started forming early in the morning. Patients from remote areas availed themselves of expert medical consultations and free medicines provided at the camp. Over 1,000 patients benefitted from the expert services, as the camp continued until late in the evening.
The camp featured five OPDs, covering orthopedics, dermatology, nephrology, gynecology, and ENT. Specialists provided consultations and treatments based on the individual needs of the patients.
Dr. Raj Bahadur, the eminent spine specialist, expressed his happiness at participating in the camp. He remarked, “It is inspiring to see organizations like Sarv Kalyankari Sanstha and Navjeevan Foundation prioritizing humanitarian service. In remote areas where medical facilities are limited, such camps act as a lifeline for the people.”
He further added, “Our responsibility is not only to treat patients but also to raise awareness about health. This camp is not just about providing medical services but also delivering a powerful message about the importance of health in society.”
Dharamshala MLA Sudhir Sharma commended the initiative, saying, “Having specialist doctors from prestigious institutions like PGI come to this camp and serve people from remote areas is remarkable. For those who otherwise wait months for a consultation, this camp is nothing short of a blessing.”
He added, “The efforts of Sarv Kalyankari Sanstha and Navjeevan Foundation in elevating medical services in this region are commendable. Their work is a strong medium for bringing positive change to society.”
The National President of Sarv Kalyankari Sanstha, Abhishek Rana, stated, “Our objective is to build a bridge between doctors and patients so that medical services become accessible to every corner of the state. This is not just a camp; it is a movement to serve humanity.”
All patients attending the camp were provided with free medicines. The specialist doctors not only offered medical consultations but also shared valuable health tips to promote awareness among the attendees.
