Bilaspur, November 28 – On the occasion of the completion of two years of the state government, a grand event will be held on December 11 at Luhanu Ground in Bilaspur. Revenue, Horticulture, and Tribal Development Minister, Jagat Singh Negi, visited Bilaspur today to review the preparations for the event. He held a meeting with administrative officials and Congress leaders to assess the arrangements and provide necessary directives.
Discussions with Senior Leaders
During the meeting, former Minister Ramlal Thakur, former MLA Babar Thakur, Congress General Secretary Vivek Kumar, District Congress President Anjana Dhiman, HRTC Purchasing Committee Member Sandeep Sankhyan, and District Youth Congress President Ashish were present. All the leaders shared their suggestions to ensure the success of the event and assured their full cooperation.
Focus on Security and Infrastructure
Minister Jagat Singh Negi emphasized to the district administration the importance of robust security measures at the event venue. He instructed that priority should be given to essential facilities such as drinking water, power supply, sanitation, and mobile toilets. The police department was directed to prepare a detailed plan for traffic management and parking arrangements.
Site Inspection and Progress Review
The Minister, along with Congress leaders and administrative officials, inspected Luhanu Ground. He reviewed the progress of stage construction, seating arrangements, decorations, and other preparations. He instructed the authorities to complete all tasks on time and ensure that arrangements are made for the comfort of the public.
Response on Grandiosity and Political Criticism
Addressing the media, Jagat Singh Negi stated that the two-year celebration of the state government would be a grand affair. Responding to questions, he said, "The opposition does not need to grant permission for where the state government holds its events. The government is working within its jurisdiction, and this event is for the public, not for political criticism."
Next Review Meeting on December 5
The Minister also announced that a follow-up review meeting would be held on December 5 in Bilaspur. In this meeting, final preparations for the event will be discussed, and the progress of arrangements will be evaluated.
