MAHENDERGARH, 17.12.24-Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh's National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteer Priyanshu Kumar has been selected to participate in the upcoming Republic Day parade on 26th January. Priyanshu Kumar will salute President Droupadi Murmu in the Republic Day parade. The Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar expressed happiness over the selection of Priyanshu from B.Tech Computer Science Engineering and said that Priyanshu's achievement is a matter of pride for the University. The Vice Chancellor said that the opportunity he got will also become a source of inspiration for other volunteers.
University's NSS unit coordinator Dr. Pradeep Kumar said that to participate in the Republic Day parade, one has to go through a long selection test, under which the volunteer has to perform best in parade, physical skills and cultural activities. Dr. Pradeep told that in the first phase of the process, Priyanshu was selected for the Pre-Republic Day Parade Camp of Vivekanand Global University, Jaipur, due to which he got the opportunity to participate in the Republic Day Parade on 26 January. Priyanshu is among the 08 youth participating in the Republic Day Parade from Haryana state.
Priyanshu told that he is very happy to get this opportunity and his parents are also proud of his achievement. Priyanshu is the first person from his family and district Latehar (Jharkhand) who has got the privilege of parading on the path of duty. Priyanshu said that this dream is going to come true with the blessings of the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, parents, teachers and support of colleagues. Program Officer of CUH NSS unit Dr. Neelam, Dr. Mukesh Upadhyay, Dr. Yudhveer also congratulated Priyanshu on this achievement.
