He added that the Finance Minister has ensured that this budget includes provisions for all sections of society. The middle-class families will also benefit, as the government is offering significant exemptions in income tax returns. Individuals with an income of up to Rs. 12 lakh will now be exempt from paying any income tax. Senior citizens who receive up to Rs. 1 lakh in interest from their bank or post office deposits in a financial year will no longer have TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) deducted by the bank or post office.
In the health sector, the central government has proposed to eliminate duty taxes on 36 life-saving medicines in the budget, which will directly benefit all citizens of the country. Additionally, with the aim of increasing 75,000 medical seats in the country’s medical colleges and hospitals over the next five years, 10,000 medical seats will be added in the first year. This increase in medical seats will benefit students as more people will have the opportunity to secure admission to medical colleges.
He further stated that, just like in previous years' budgets, this time too, the central government has ensured that all sections of the country receive benefits. Overall, this is a good budget, and it will have positive outcomes in the future, benefiting the people of the country.
