CHANDIGARH, 07.02.25-Enactus Panjab University enthusiastically participated in PU’s 14th Rose Festival, at the scenic Rose Garden. Inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig, the festival celebrated the timeless beauty of roses and the spirit of unity.

Prof. Seema Kapoor, Faculty Advisor of Enactus, shared that the Enactus SSBUICET team set up a stall at the fest, showcasing products from Projects ARPAN, UDAY and DHRA. Project ARPAN, a flagship project of Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh (MCC) repurposes temple floral waste, reduces marine pollution and empowers women. Project UDAY challenges menstrual hygiene taboos, while Project DHRA supports potters by connecting them to markets and preserving India’s fading pottery tradition. During her visit, Honourable Vice-Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig praised the team’s dedication to community empowerment and sustainability, commending their impactful efforts.

Muskan Sihag, President of Enactus PU, shared that the enthusiasm and curiosity of visitors at the Rose Festival were truly inspiring. She expressed joy in seeing people engage with their projects and appreciate the impact they aim to create. She shared that visitors were amazed by the Dhoop, incense sticks and Sambrani cups elegantly crafted from floral waste.

Prof. Kapoor emphasized that the festival provided a valuable platform to showcase Enactus initiatives and connect with the community. She noted that the team’s participation deepened their local engagement and reaffirmed their commitment to raising awareness and inspiring collective efforts for social good.
