Chandigarh, 23.02.25-: Annual Prize distribution ceremony concluded at Maharishi Dayanand Public School, MDAV Bhawan, Daria, Chandigarh. The program began with Gayatri Mantra and lighting of lamps. In this program, famous poetess and former professor of Rice University Houston, USA, Dr. Sarita Mehta was the chief guest, famous litterateur Prem Vij was the special guest and poet and educationist Kiran Ahuja was a special invitee.

On this occasion, students presented poems of Dr. Sarita Mehta, famous litterateur Prem Vij and Dr. Vinod Sharma. Students praised the work done by NRI Sudarshan Garg throughout the year through poems and articles. Hindi teacher and writer Kiran Prabha presented a poem written on NRI Sudarshan Garg. On the request of the students, famous litterateur Prem Vijay also presented his poem.

The organizer of the ceremony was NRI Sudarshan Garg. The guests awarded medals and mementos to the students who had better attendance, scored good marks and participated in various other activities during the session 2024-25. They were also presented with stationery.

School's Vice Principal Anju Modgil said that Sudarshan Garg is the patron of the school. He always strives for the upliftment of the school. Along with paying the fees of poor children, he makes special arrangements for stationery and programs to be organized. He also built a stage in the multimedia hall to provide a platform for cultural programs. Morni Hills and Bird Park were also organized during this session.
