Chandigarh, February 23- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, said that development works are being carried out across Haryana with an ideology of development. The government is taking well-planned, meaningful steps to ensure that every citizen benefits directly from government schemes. He said that the government is deeply committed to ensuring that the interests of the common people are never overlooked.

During his visit to Faridabad on Sunday, the Chief Minister held a direct dialogue with the people. As part of the visit, he also paid tribute to great personalities by garlanding their statues. While interacting with the public, he highlighted that, in addition to enhancing rail and road connectivity, the government plans to extend metro services from Ballabhgarh to Palwal in the near future.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the government is working with a strong commitment to public service, ensuring that people receive the benefits of government services right at their doorsteps. He said that both the Central and State Governments are focused on achieving equal development, free from any discrimination. To enhance public convenience, the State government has organized Samadhan Shvirs in offices at the sub-division and district levels on every working day, ensuring that issues of people belonging to all sections of society are addressed promptly.

Sh Nayab Singh Saini said that the state government is working on improving the standard of living for the people. All essential services are being made available online, so that the people do not require making frequent round to offices. As a result, citizens are able to complete their tasks more efficiently and with greater transparency. Traffic infrastructure has been enhanced across Haryana, and transportation has been made easier with an expanded road network and a robust road safety system.

Additionally, the Transport Department's HAPPY Card Scheme is proving to be highly beneficial for the poor and the needy.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the state government is deeply committed to the health and well-being of its citizens. Under the Chirayu Yojana, the government provides free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh annually for poor and needy families through Ayushman cards. These cards are issued free of cost to families with an annual income of up to Rs 1.80 lakh. For families with an annual income of up to Rs 3 lakh, the cards are available for a nominal fee of Rs 1500. Additionally, the government has decided to give the benefit of the Ayushman Card Scheme free of cost to senior citizens above the age of 70.

He also emphasized the significant improvements made in the field of education. To promote higher education for girls, the number of colleges in Haryana has been increased. Furthermore, Haryana has become the first state in the country to take the initiative to implement the National Education Policy by 2025. He said that the youth are now being given government jobs without any Kharchi-Parchi (bribe-recommendation) enabling youth to secure jobs based on their hard work. On the sports front, Haryana is gaining recognition at international level. State players are achieving success in world-class competitions, winning medals and bringing laurels to both the country and the state. In line with this, open gyms, vyamshalas, and playgrounds are being established in villages, and trainers are being appointed to further support the development of sports.

On this occasion, former Minister and MLA Sh Moolchand Sharma, MLAs Sh Dhanesh Adlakha and Sh Satish Phagna and other dignitaries were also present.

This, he said, is a guarantee from the Haryana Government.

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the opposition is unaware of the ground reality. He highlighted that the people of Haryana have decided in favor of the "double-engine, non-stop development government" formed in the state under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi, which is driving development at a rapid pace. The Chief Minister further emphasized that it is the government's priority to accelerate the development of Manesar at three times the current speed.

The Chief Minister stated that the Haryana Government has taken 18 significant decisions in the interest of the public during its first hundred days, benefiting the people of the state. He also highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts towards women empowerment, including providing sisters with benefits from key schemes like Har Ghar Grihini. Additionally, he said that the upcoming budget will include provisions to grant 2,100 rupees to women.

Chandigarh, 23 February : Union Minister of Housing, Urban Affairs, and Energy Sh. Manohar Lal has said that, given the record crowd of lakhs of people and the gathering of artists, it would not be an exaggeration to call the Surajkund Mela the Maha Kumbh of crafts and art. This Mela is not just an event to sell goods; it is a celebration of the rich culture, food, and clothing of Haryana, as well as that of the country and the world. Attending the Mela feels like experiencing "Mini India." The Surajkund Crafts Mela has truly become a national pride and a symbol of Haryana’s cultural identity.

Union Minister Sh Manohar Lal was addressing as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the 38th International Surajkund Crafts Mela.

He said that since the 28th Surajkund Mela in 2014, he has been consistently participating in this magnificent event. This marks his 11th visit to the Mela. In 2015, for the first time, 20 countries participated, giving the Surajkund Mela an international stature. Today, the number of participating countries has increased to 44. The Surajkund Crafts Mela, along with the Kurukshetra International Gita Jayanti Festival, is bringing global recognition and pride to Haryana.

He said that fair and art are integral parts of human life. At the Surajkund Mela, on one hand, you can enjoy Idli Dosa from South India, while on the other, you can savor the Khaat ke Thaath and Bajra ki Khichdi of Haryana. This cultural exchange is helping spread Haryana's rich traditions to foreign countries. The fair is also strengthening the unity and integrity of the nation, as thousands and lakhs of art lovers gather at one place. Only a true artist can truly appreciate the essence of art. The Union Minister further emphasized that art can be found in every form of nature. The greatest artist is God, who created this beautiful universe.

Earlier, Union Minister Sh Manohar Lal visited the historical Surajkund site, the Art and Culture Department's metal paintings gallery, and the pavilions of Odisha and Madhya Pradesh. During this visit, artists from various countries and states showcased their artwork in front of the chief guest at the glittering carnival that began at Mall Road. Along with the chief guest, Haryana Tourism Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma, Revenue Minister Sh Vipul Goel, Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Sh Rajesh Nagar and MLAs Sh Dhanesh Adlakha, and Satish Phagna were honored by tying traditional turban on them.

This international Mela will mark a significant milestone in the series of resolutions set by the Prime Minister to make the country developed by 2047. Last year, 13 lakh tourists attended the event, and in 2025, that number has risen to 18 lakh. The fair's beauty and attraction continue to grow year after year. It is a unique confluence of diverse international cultures and Haryana's rich heritage. A total of 1,200 stalls were set up, with allotments made through a transparent online system.

In the closing ceremony, the chief guest honored D. Shivamma of Andhra Pradesh, Magan Bhai of Gujarat, EAW Pushpakumara of Sri Lanka, Armen Khasatian of Armenia and Temba Malanga of Zimbabwe with the Kala Ratna Award.

Principal Secretary Tourism and Vice Chairperson of Mela Management, Smt. Kala Ramachandran, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the guests. On this occasion, a stunning dance performance based on the theme of Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat, choreographed by Sh Sanjay Sharma, was presented. This visit took place on the third day of the Youth-Led Action on Climate Change (SEWOCON) event, being held at Vishwa Yuvak Kendra from February 20 to 24, 2025. Under the auspices of the Ministry of External Affairs, the participants were on an enriching educational tour to the BIMSTEC Centre in Noida before heading to the National Youth Complex in Gadpuri, Palwal. Chandigarh, February 23: Haryana Environment, Forest, and Wildlife Minister Rao Narbir Singh said that environmental conservation has become a global priority due to the growing concerns of climate change and increasing pollution. To restore environmental balance, it is crucial to adopt a more sensitive approach toward nature and wildlife conservation. He also highlighted the commendable involvement of new startups, alongside the private sector, in supporting conservation efforts, which complements the government’s initiatives.

In a statement issued today, Environment, Forest, and Wildlife Minister Rao Narbir Singh called for a collective pledge to conserve endangered wildlife species on the upcoming World Wildlife Day, March 3, 2025. He also said that Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi addressed the importance of wildlife conservation in today’s 119th episode of "Mann Ki Baat." The Haryana Forest Department is committed to enhancing and preserving the ecosystem of the Aravalli region. The plans for the Jungle Safari and Aravalli Green Wall Project have already been drafted. Recently, Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Sh Bhupender Yadav inaugurated the Aravalli Green Wall Project.

The proposal for the Jungle Safari is almost complete, with efforts underway to launch it on World Wildlife Day

Minister Rao Narbir Singh stated that while the Jungle Safari project was initially assigned to the Tourism Department, Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini has now entrusted its execution to the Forest and Wildlife Department. The department is progressing at a rapid pace. He said that he personally visited the Gorewada Wildlife Safari in Nagpur (Maharashtra) and the Vantara Project in Jamnagar, Gujarat, along with departmental officials. The efforts are for the proposed Jungle Safari Project in the Aravalli region to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi.

Rao Narbir Singh said that the Aravalli Green Wall Project aims to improve over 1.15 million hectares of land across four states -Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Delhi demonstrating an exemplary model of multi-state cooperation. The project focuses on afforestation with indigenous tree species, biodiversity conservation, soil health restoration, and enhancing groundwater recharge.

He said that these projects will not only create employment opportunities for people in the Aravalli region but will also foster biodiversity conservation and promote environmentally sustainable resource management. He added that in Haryana, to raise awareness among the younger generation about the importance of nature and enhance their livelihoods, Van Mitras have been appointed to connect local communities with the forests.

Mining Department team from Headquarters conducts night raids, seizes dumper illegally transporting stones from Rajasthan

Chandigarh, February 23: A joint team, formed on the directions of Sh KM Pandurang, Director General, Mines and Geology Department, Haryana, seized a dumper in Narnaul, District Mahendragarh that was illegally transporting stones from Rajasthan. The team also recovered the fine amount.

Giving information in this regard, a spokesman of Mines and Geology Department said that a team of senior officials from the Panchkula headquarters continued their raids in Mahendragarh district for the third consecutive day, targeting illegal mining and the unlawful transportation of minerals.

The spokesperson said that raids were carried out at various locations throughout the night, resulting in the seizure of a dumper illegally transporting stones from Rajasthan. The team of officials continued their action throughout the day, recovering about Rs 4.22 lakh. The team also issued a warning to all crusher operators, emphasizing that strict action will be taken if they are found crushing illegal stones.
