Triple engine government will ensure development at a faster pace: Nayab Singh Saini

Chandigarh, March 2 - Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said the central and state governments are moving forward keeping in focus the ‘Vision 2047’ of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi. While the urban local bodies have an important role in providing basic facilities to the common people, the government is effectively fulfilling its responsibility in implementing public welfare schemes.

The Chief Minister was talking to journalists at the helipad built in Sector-12 before attending a function in Faridabad on Sunday.

The Chief Minister said people are already being provided facilities by the double engine government at the Centre and the state. Now, after the formation of a government in urban local bodies, the triple engine government will take the development work forward at a faster pace. He said when the results of the civic elections will come on March 12, BJP candidates will win by a huge margin at all seats.

He said this is a local government, which directly resolves the problems related to the public. After this, the triple engine government will bring about all-round development in every area. The state government fulfilled all its promises made in the election manifesto of 2014 and 2019, adding that 21 promises were made in the manifesto prepared for the civic elections and all these promises will also be fulfilled in the coming days.

During the tenure of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, there have been major changes in the country and India is progressing at a fast pace. The Prime Minister has pledged to make the country developed by 2047 and this resolution will be fulfilled with the cooperation of the public, the Chief Minister added.

The Chief Minister was addressing the inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed Vishwa Shanti Kendra by Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti Sanstha located at Sector 39, Gurugram on Sunday. The Vishwa Shanti Kendra was inaugurated by former President of India Sh. Ram Nath Kovind.

The Chief Minister, while addressing the inauguration ceremony, said the great culture and tradition of India has always given the message of peace, tolerance and harmony. This is the country where in every era and every age, great souls like Lord Shri Ram and Yogiraj Shri Krishna to Lord Mahavir, Mahatma Buddha and Guru Nanak were born and preached truth, non-violence, love, unity, peace, goodwill, kindness, compassion, charity and humanity to the entire humanity. They established high human ideals to create an environment of peace and tranquility among mankind. The Chief Minister said all these great men showed the right path of life to the mankind with their sacred teachings. Their teachings stood the test of time and were relevant even today.

The Chief Minister said under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, the government is moving forward in the direction of creating a harmonious society by uniting every section of society with the policy of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas'. Chandigarh, March 2 - Haryana State Election Commissioner Sh. Dhanpat Singh said elections to various Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils and Municipalities of the state were conducted peacefully. Counting of votes will start at 8 am on March 12 and results will also be declared on the same day.

The State Election Commissioner said that extensive arrangements were made by the Commission to conduct the urban local body elections in a peaceful, fair and transparent manner. General, police and expenditure observers were appointed in the electoral process. Along with this, duty magistrates, supervisors, presiding officers, polling officers were appointed in all the concerned bodies. Adequate police force was deployed for security and additional police force was deployed at sensitive and highly sensitive polling stations. A control room was also set up in the Nirvachan Sadan to monitor the proper electoral process.

He informed that voting was held for the posts of Mayor and Ward Members in Municipal Corporations Manesar, Gurugram, Faridabad, Hisar, Rohtak, Karnal and Yamunanagar. Along with this, voting was held for the by-election for the post of Mayor in Municipal Corporations Ambala and Sonipat.

He said voting was also held for the posts of Pradhan (President) and Ward Members in Municipal Councils Ambala Sadar, Pataudi-Jatauli Mandi, Thanesar and Sirsa and for the by-election for the post of Pradhan (President) in Municipal Council Sohna.

In the voting held in the state today, general elections were held in 07 Municipal Corporations in 19 districts of the state (except Panchkula, Rohtak and Rewari), by-election for Mayor in 02 Municipal Corporations (Ambala and Sonipat); Voting was also held for general elections in 04 Municipal Councils (Ambala Sadar, Sirsa, Thanesar and Pataudi-Jatauli Mandi) and by-election for the post of President/Pradhan in Sohna, District Gurugram Municipal Council and general elections in 21 municipalities and by-election for the post of Pradhan in 02 municipalities - Assandh, District Karnal and Ismailabad, District Kurukshetra and by-election for the post of Ward Member in Ward No. 14 of Municipal Corporation Safidon and Ward No. 15 of Tarawadi. There were a total of 5106134 voters in all these institutions. In the by-election for the Mayor, less enthusiasm was seen among the voters in Ambala Municipal Corporation and Sonipat Municipal Corporation. Similarly, the voting percentage was very low in two metropolitan cities adjacent to Delhi; Municipal Corporation, Faridabad and Municipal Corporation, Gurugram. At some places, people were seen standing in queue even after the deadline of 6 pm, who were given time to vote.

Overall, voting was conducted peacefully, transparently and fairly throughout the state. There is no news of any violence or untoward incident from anywhere.

The State Election Commissioner said that voting was held for the posts of Pradhan (President) and Ward Members in Nagar Palika Barara, Bawani Khera, Siwani, Loharu, Jakhal Mandi, Farukhnagar, Narnaund, Beri, Julana, Siwan, Pundri, Kalayat, Nilokheri, Indri, Ateli Mandi, Kanina, Tawadu, Hathin, Kalanaur, Kharkhoda and Radaur. Ismailabad.

Sh. Dhanpat Singh said that voting will be held in Municipal Corporation Panipat on March 9. The counting of votes for the elections of Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils and Municipalities held today and the elections for Panipat Municipal Corporation to be held on March 09 will be done simultaneously on March 12 and the election results will also be declared on the same day.

Citizens must take pledge to preserve wildlife: Rao Narbir Singh

Chandigarh, March 2 - Haryana Environment, Forest and Wildlife Minister Sh. Rao Narbir Singh has said that wildlife conservation is necessary to save the Earth. Today, due to polluted environment and changing nature, the existence of many species of animals and plants is in danger. This year, World Wildlife Day is being celebrated with the theme of ‘Wildlife Conservation Finance: Investing in People and Planet’.

In a message issued here today on the eve of World Wildlife Day, Sh. Rao Narbir Singh called upon the people to take a pledge to preserve wildlife.

He said the Forest and Wildlife Department is taking many unique initiatives for wildlife conservation in Haryana. A vulture breeding and conservation centre has been opened in Pinjore, falling in the Shivalik mountain range, in which this endangered vulture species has been preserved. He said similarly, a blueprint of Jungle Safari project has been prepared in the Aravalli mountain range, which will be launched soon. Work is being done on which wild animal should be kept in what category and he himself is monitoring this. He has also visited such safaris built in the forests of Maharashtra and Gujarat.

He said the decreasing figures of wildlife population in tropical areas are a matter of concern. The Haryana Government has held talks with many international agencies to increase the wildlife population. Along with this, the private sector and some new startups have also shown interest in supporting the government, which is commendable.

Chandigarh, March 2 - Haryana's Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij said all voters should take part in the biggest festival of democracy. He appealed to the voters of the state to come out of their homes and cast their vote. He said a triple engine government is going to be formed in Haryana and the BJP will be victorious in Ambala Cantonment in the urban local body elections.

Sh. Vij was answering questions of mediapersons today. He cast his vote along with his family at booth number 110 in Shastri Colony of Ambala Cantonment today.

He said, "A triple engine government is going to be formed in Haryana. People know that a BJP government is at the Centre and the state and if the BJP comes to power in the Municipal Corporation, then development will take place at a fast pace."

In response to a question asked regarding the municipal elections, he said, "I am most happy with the municipal elections because due to the non-conduct of these elections, I had to do their (councillors') work also.”

Responding to a question on the complaint made by the Congress regarding the use of VVPAT, he said it is Congress' old habit to cry during elections. He said the Congress has always been crying about VVPAT but when it won in Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka, no one talked about VVPAT. But wherever the Congress loses elections, it starts complaining about VVPAT and EVMs.

Farmers can report crop damage on Kshatipurti portal within next 3 days: Agriculture Minister

Affected farmers will get proper compensation for their damaged crops: Shyam Singh Rana

Chandigarh, March 2 - Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Sh. Shyam Singh Rana has said that farmers who are not registered under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana should register their loss due to hailstorm on the Haryana Kshatipurti Portal within next 72 hours (three days), so that officials of the Agriculture Department can reach the spot and assess the crop damage correctly.

Sh. Rana assured the farmers that they should not worry as their crop damage will be compensated.

He said for the convenience of farmers in the state, the facility of reporting crop damage is available through Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and Haryana Kshatipurti Portal.

Farmers who have registered themselves under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana should contact their concerned Agriculture Officer and register the report of their crop damage.

At the same time, those farmers who have not been registered under the yojana should register their crop damage report on the Haryana Kshatipurti Portal within the next three days. After this, the Agriculture Department officials will reach the spot and assess the crop loss. He said for this, registration on the 'Meri Fasal Mera Byora' portal is mandatory. Such farmers should get themselves registered on this portal as soon as possible.

The Agriculture Minister said both portals are currently open. Hence, all affected farmers are requested to register their crop loss report within the stipulated time limit and take advantage of the government schemes.
