Sanjay Tandon Donates Rs 1 lakh to support differently-abled individuals

Chandigarh, March 2-“To support the underprivileged in our country, it is essential for all of us to extend our hands and contribute a portion of our earnings to social service. Through various organisations, we can fulfill our moral duty, and this act of charity is the highest form of virtue. It also provides us with profound inner satisfaction,” said Sanjay Tandon, National Executive Member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Co-Incharge of BJP Himachal Pradesh.

He was speaking at an event organised by Narayan Seva Sansthan for differently-abled individuals in Sector 49, Chandigarh, where he participated as the Chief Guest. On this occasion, he announced a generous donation of Rs1 lakh to the organization.

Former media in-charge of the party, Ravindra Pathania, shared that the event saw a large turnout of differently-abled individuals attending the Narayan Limb and Caliper Measurement Camp, organized by Narayan Seva Sansthan. The organization’s medical team measured the participants to provide them with Narayan Limbs and Calipers. Also present at the event were Vandana Agarwal, Director of the Organization; Bhagwan Prasad Gaur, Director (Media Relations); Shipra Bansal, Chairperson of CCPCR; Councilor Rajendra Sharma; Sudeep Rawat; and other dignitaries.

While addressing the attendees, Sanjay Tandon said, “Our society has many individuals in need, and it is our collective responsibility to help them integrate into the mainstream. Humans are social beings, and society has given each of us something in one form or another. If those who are capable do not step forward to help the underprivileged, they will be left behind. We must all contribute a portion of our earnings to such noble social causes.”

He went on to share that his foundation, the BalramJi Das Tandon Charitable Foundation, provides consistent support to the underprivileged through initiatives such as distributing monthly rations to poor widows, offering scholarships to talented students, supplying school bags, books, uniforms, and organizing blood donation camps.

Sanjay Tandon commended the remarkable work of Narayan Seva Sansthan, stating, “The organization’s effort to provide artificial limbs to differently-abled individuals and help them reintegrate into society is truly praiseworthy. To support this noble cause, my organization is contributing Rs1 lakh.”

Balram Ji Das Tandon Charitable Foundation Distributes Free Ration to 59 Underprivileged Widows

Chandigarh, March 2, 2025: In memory of the late Balram Ji Das Tandon, former Governor of Chhattisgarh, the BalramJi Das Tandon Charitable Foundation organized a monthly ration distribution program for widows. On Sunday, 59 widows from various sectors of Chandigarh were provided with their monthly rations as part of this ongoing initiative. This program has been running continuously for the past 63 months, offering vital support to the underprivileged and ensuring they have access to basic necessities.

Following the ration distribution, Sanjay Tandon, Chairman of the Foundation, shared that the organization has been hosting several community welfare programs in honor of his father’s legacy. These initiatives include blood donation camps, scholarships for meritorious students, and the distribution of free books, bags, and uniforms to underprivileged school children. The foundation has also been extending financial assistance to various religious institutions. As part of their ongoing efforts, the foundation provides monthly rations to widows and their families in Chandigarh and surrounding areas, ensuring their household needs are met.

Sanjay Tandon further explained that his father, the late Balram Ji Das Tandon, was always dedicated to giving back to society by setting aside a portion of his earnings for the welfare of others, distributing it monthly to those in need.

His father believed in the importance of reciprocating what society has given us, stating that only in doing so can we ensure the progress of society as a whole. Helping the less fortunate is a virtuous act, and it is our collective responsibility to participate in such endeavors. Continuing his father's mission, the initiative to provide free rations to widows is a meaningful step in advancing that cause.
