CHANDIGARH, 06.03.25-Thalassaemic Charitable Trust (TCT) is celebrating International Women’s Day on 8th March 2025 in coordination with Deptt of Transfusion Medicine PGI Chandigarh by organizing its 311th Blood Donation Camp from 9:30am to 2:30pm at Room No. 107, Blood Donation Complex (Near Trauma Centre), PGIMER Chandigarh.

On this occasion Prof(Dr.) Sadhna Lal, Deptt. of Paediatric Gastroenterology & Hepatology, PGI will be Chief Guest and cake cutting ceremony will be held at 11.00am with thalassaemic patients. Senior Faculty members of PGIMER will also attend this event and bless the blood donors. Thalassaemia prevention and awareness material will be distributed to voluntary blood donors.

All volunteer NGOs, blood donors groups and individual voluntary blood donors are requested to motivate your friends and relatives to participate in this noble cause. One blood unit saves four lives.

The Camp is being organised to meet the increased demand of Blood in all hospitals of TriCity of Chandigarh. Your Blood donation will save precious lives of serious patients and thalassaemic patients needing Blood support. Dr. RR Sharma, HOD, Deptt. of Transfusion Medicine PGIMER and Sh. Rajinder Kalra, Member Secretary, TCT earnestly appealed to all citizens to donate blood in this Camp for needy patients.
