Opened on 29 January 2025, the luxurious Hawar Resort by Mantis seamlessly blends luxury, cultural heritage, and sustainability. Located on UNESCO-recognised Hawar Island, the resort features 104 rooms, including beach villas, overwater villas, and two tented suites, many with private pools and direct beach access. The resort offers five dining venues, including Bahri, serving freshly caught Gulf fish, the Beach Lounge and the resort’s signature restaurant, C Salt. Guests can enjoy a spa, extensive water sports facilities, a waterpark, an adventure park, and a pool.
Since its opening in October 2024, the luxurious Cipriani Beach Club, has been offering an exceptional pool and beach experience alongside the iconic Cipriani restaurant. Guests can lounge by the pool, enjoy live entertainment, and savour delicious poolside bites in a stunning setting.
The Avenues expansion is expected to open by the second quarter of 2025. This extension will bring 40,000 square meters of leasable space to the existing Avenues mall. The new phase will introduce four new districts: The Forum, Grand Plaza, Electra and The Souk, which will host 218 stores and restaurants, an ice rink and two entertainment zones.
Ula is a recently opened Mediterranean-inspired beach club and restaurant at the Novotel Al Dana Resort. This Tulum-inspired oasis features a stunning beachfront, an infinity pool, and multiple dining areas. Guests can enjoy Mediterranean cuisine, cocktails, and live entertainment in a beautiful indoor-outdoor setting.
Barcelo Bahrain City Centre The Barceló Hotel Group is set to open its newest branch at Bahrain City Centre in 2025. With direct access to the mall, it is set to become a prime destination for both travellers and locals. The hotel will feature 195 stylish rooms or suites, an all-day restaurant, a gym, a rooftop pool, a business centre, two meeting rooms, free Wi-Fi and free parking. Set to open in late 2025, the Kempinski Bahrain Harbour Hotel and Residences, will feature 74 luxurious guest rooms, 186 branded residences, with many offering panoramic views of the marina and Manama skyline. The hotel is situated in the prestigious Harbour Heights enclave, which is home to 60 retail boutiques and a variety of restaurants and cafes along a scenic 2.5kmof marina promenade.
Sports, music and culture:
The open air Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre, known for its stunning architecture and breathtaking views of the Arabian Gulf is set to host to an exciting line-up of musical events this year. Fans can catch the UK’s very own Ed Sheeran in Bahrain on 2 May 2025. Guns N’ Roses are also poised to rock Bahrain on May 20. Tickets are available for purchase on the Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre website, with prices starting from £40.
The prestigious Bahrain Turf Series horse racing event features twelve thrilling races with a total prize fund of $1 million. Showcasing top-tier racing talent from around the world, the event has been captivating audiences since December 20, 2024, and will continue until March 7, 2025, featuring races at the Bahrain Turf Club.
Bahrain is once again set to host the Formula 1 in 2025. The Bahrain Grand Prix will light up the circuit from April 10 to 13, 2025 at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), renowned for its dramatic night race under the floodlights.
