Chandigarh, April 19:-A joint mega enforcement drive was carried out today at Sector 26 Mandi by the Enforcement wing, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh and the Market Committee.

The mega drive was carried out under the supervision of MC Joint Commissioner Sh. Sumeet Sihag. The drive aimed at the removal of unauthorized vendors encroaching upon public spaces and disrupting the smooth functioning of the mandi.

As a result of the operation, illegal vending setups were cleared from the area, ensuring better hygiene, traffic movement, and safety for both vendors and visitors.

During the enforcement action, 43 challans were issued against violators indulging in illegal vending and unauthorized occupation of public land.

The MCC reiterates its commitment to maintaining cleanliness, orderliness, and proper regulation in market areas across the city and urges all vendors to follow the established norms and obtain proper authorization.
