CHANDIGARH, 09.03.25- : The Indian Audit and Accounts Department's four-day North Zone Cricket Tournament began with great fanfare at the Baba Balak Nath Temple Complex, Kaimbwala, Chandigarh.
The inauguration of this tournament was done by Ms. Nazli J. Shaikh, Principal Accountant General (Audit), Punjab, Chandigarh. Also present as a special guest was Mr. Kamaljeet Singh Ramuwalia, Director General of Audit Examination (Central), Chandigarh.
Ms. Tripti Gupta, Principal Accountant, welcomed officials and players, stating that cricket is currently the most popular sport. India's stature in this excellent game is no less than that of a world champion, and India is a strong contender for victory in today's Champions Trophy final match. This game is an excellent example of team spirit. Detailed information about this four-day sports program was provided afterward. In this tournament, teams from AG Punjab, AG Haryana, AG Delhi, AG Jammu & Kashmir, AG Uttar Pradesh, AG Himachal Pradesh, and AG Uttarakhand offices are participating. Three league matches of 20-20 overs were played on the first day according to international rules. In the first day's matches, AG Uttar Pradesh vs AG Punjab, AG Himachal Pradesh vs AG J&K, and AG Delhi vs AG Uttarakhand were played.

The host AG Punjab team defeated AG Uttar Pradesh by five wickets, AG J&K team won by 15 runs against AG Himachal Pradesh, and AG Delhi team achieved an easy victory over AG Uttarakhand by ten wickets. League matches will continue tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. The final championship match will be played on March 12th.
