Chandigarh, March 11 - Haryana Public Health and Engineering Minister Sh. Ranbir Gangwa informed that an amount of Rs 49.63 crore has been sanctioned for augmenting drinking water supply in Kundli. He gave this information in response to a question during the budget session of Haryana Assembly.
Sh. Ranbir Gangwa informed that according to the census of the year 2011, the total population of Kundli is 21,633. At present, the drinking water supply in the town is being done through 4 tube wells located at different places. The status of drinking water supply in this town is 55 liters per capita per day.
He informed that an amount of Rs 49.63 crore has been sanctioned under AMRUT-2.0 to increase water supply at the rate of 135 liters per capita per day (LPCD). Three hydro abstraction wells will be constructed on the banks of Yamuna river in village Dahisra, for which about 15 acres of land is required. An estimate of Rs 5.20 crore has been administratively approved for this.

Ranbir Gangwa told the Assembly that to increase the drinking water supply in Kharkhoda, a project costing Rs 26.46 crore for construction of additional water treatment plant of 4 million liters per day (MLD) capacity and laying distribution system in the left out approved colonies has been given administrative approval on October 23, 2023. The work is in progress and will be completed by September 30, 2026.
The minister was replying to the question of Kharkhoda MLA Sh. Pawan Kharkhoda.
The minister informed that according to the 2011 census, the total population of Kharkhoda is 25,051 persons. At present, the drinking water supply in the town is being met from two existing canal based water works of 2.27 MLD and 4.54 MLD capacity situated on Rohtak Road and Delhi Road, respectively along with one tubewell. The present drinking water supply status in the town is 135 litres per capita per day.
He informed that about 90% area of the town is covered with drinking water and 80% area with sewerage facilities. At present, one Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) of 4.5 MLD capacity exists in the town, which has been upgraded to treat sewage as per latest standards of treated effluent prescribed by HSPCB.
He informed that under Atal Mission for Urban Transformation-2.0 (AMRUT-2.0), a project costing Rs 26.46 crore has been administratively approved on 23rd October, 2023 for augmentation of water supply through construction of additional water treatment plant of 4 million litres per day (MLD) capacity and laying of distribution system in the remaining sanctioned area.

Govt. can consider setting up a grain market in Kund village if panchayat provides land: Agriculture Minister
Chandigarh, March 11 - Haryana Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister Sh. Shyam Singh Rana assured that if the Panchayat of village Kund in Bawal Assembly Constituency provides land, then setting up a grain market there can be considered.
The Agriculture Minister was replying to a question raised by a member in the House today.
Sh. Rana informed that new mandis are established as per the Mandi Policy of the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board. As per this policy, a sub-yard can be established on 15 to 20 acres of land. It should be at least 10 km away from the nearest mandi. The criteria of arrival of produce, income and paved road also have to be fulfilled here.
Village Kund is 25 kms from the main yard, Rewari and 36 kms from the sub yard, Bawal. Notification regarding declaring village Kund as sub yard under Market Committee, Rewari has already been issued by the Government under letter No. 3727-AGR (II)-4-71/11380 dated 27.08.1971.

Mahipal Dhanda said the quality of land in 15 villages around Masani Barrage is not poor as the water is contained within the land boundary of Masani Barrage. Masani Barrage receives water from Lal Bahadur Shastri (LBS) Channel which carries canal water and treated wastewater from 5 STPs of Public Health Engineering Department/Haryana Urban Development Authority which have quality issues.
Responding in the Vidhan Sabha today, he said the STPs which were not discharging treated wastewater as per the prescribed standards at Masani Barrage have been penalised. To ascertain the quality of water collected from both the sources at Masani Barrage, the Irrigation and Water Resources Department had taken water samples from around Masani Barrage. The results were mostly found to be within the prescribed standards of Haryana State Pollution Control Board indicating that no harsh chemicals were found in the water.

NO illegal maternity clinic is being run in Nuh district without a degree and licence-Arti Singh Rao .
Chandigarh, March 11 - Haryana Health Minister Arti Singh Rao said that no illegal maternity clinic is being run in Nuh district without a degree and licence.
The Health Minister was responding to a question asked by a member of the House during the Assembly session today.
She said that in Nuh district, 4 private hospitals are registered under the Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) Act and 92 clinics are registered under the Health Management Information System (HMIS). Apart from these, 106 clinics are registered under the Central Registration System (CRS).
She also informed that if any complaint/information is received regarding the death of a mother and newborn, immediate action is taken in the case under the Act. No such complaint has been received in Nuh district.
The Health Minister, while giving detailed information, said that a hospital having more than 50 beds is required to be registered under the Haryana Clinical Establishment Act. In Nuh district, only Civil Hospital Mandikheda and Medical College Nuh are registered hospitals under this Act.

Directed the Revenue and Irrigation Department officers to send a proposal to prepare a Joint Flood Management and Information System by April 15-SUMITA MISRA
Chandigarh, March 11 - Chairman of Haryana State Technical Advisory Committee (HSTAC) Dr. Sumita Misra today directed the Revenue and Irrigation Department officers to send a proposal to prepare a Joint Flood Management and Information System by April 15 so that Haryana can be made a flood-free state. She said a Jal Shakti Abhiyan will be started in Panchkula on March 22.
Dr. Misra was chairing the 54th meeting of the committee today. The Joint Flood Management and Information System will be made on the lines of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, under which a system will be built to make the state free of floods. Additional Chief Secretary of Irrigation Department Sh. Anurag Agarwal, Director General of Agriculture Department Sh. Rajnarayan Kaushik, Administrator and Chief Engineer of the Department Dr. Satbir Singh Kadia, senior officials and Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners of all districts participated in the meeting.
Dr. Misra directed the officials to send the necessary budget and related proposals soon to complete the pending projects. Along with this, she sought the details of the works to be completed in the next three years for flood protection. She also said the work being done for flood control in the state should be completed soon and directed the Deputy Commissioners to work on this.
She said at present, work is in progress on 358 schemes related to flood control in the state on which about Rs 556 crore is to be spent. She told the concerned Deputy Commissioners to select the schemes of their districts on a priority basis and get them completed.

Chandigarh, March 11 – Haryana State Election Commissioner, Mr. Dhanpat Singh said that voting for the elections of Mayor/Pradhan and Ward Members of various Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils, and Municipalities across the state was held on March 2. In addition, voting for the post of Mayor and Ward Members of the Municipal Corporation of Panipat took place on March 9. The counting process will begin on March 12 at 8:00 AM, and the results will be declared on the same day once the counting is completed.
Mr. Dhanpat Singh further stated that the election results will be available on the State Election Commission’s website at https://secharyana.gov.in. During the vote counting process, no candidate, counting agent, or counting staff will be permitted to bring any electronic devices such as mobile phones, pen drives, cameras, laptops, pens, digital watches, etc., to the counting center.
To ensure the proper and smooth completion of the vote counting process for the urban local body elections, extensive arrangements have been made by the Commission in coordination with the concerned district administration. Election Observers will be present at all the relevant counting locations. For security purposes, and particularly for the protection of the EVMs, a police force will accompany the team transporting the EVMs from the strong room to the counting center.
Mr. Dhanpat Singh also informed that the counting of votes for the elections held for the posts of Mayor and Ward Members will take place in the Municipal Corporations of Manesar, Gurugram, Faridabad, Hisar, Rohtak, Karnal, Yamunanagar, and Panipat. In Addition, the counting for the by-election for the post of Mayor will also be held in the Municipal Corporations of Ambala and Sonipat.
Similarly, counting of votes for the posts of Pradhan (President) and Ward Members in the Municipal Councils of Ambala Sadar, Pataudi-Jatauli Mandi, Thanesar, and Sirsa, as well as for the by-election for the post of Pradhan (President) in the Municipal Council of Sohna, will also take place.
Furthermore, counting of votes for the elections held for the posts of Pradhan (President) and Ward Members will be conducted in 21 Nagar Palikas across the state, namely Barara, Bawani Khera, Siwani, Loharu, Jakhal Mandi, Farukhnagar, Narnaund, Beri, Julana, Siwan, Pundri, Kalayat, Nilokheri, Indri, Ateli Mandi, Kanina, Taoru, Hathin, Kalanaur, Kharkhoda, and Radaur. Apart from this, the counting of votes for the by-elections held for the post of Pradhan (President) in Nagar Palikas Assandh and Ismailabad, as well as for the post of Ward Member in Ward No. 14 of Nagar Palika Safidon and Ward No. 5 of Taraori, will also be conducted.

Administration tightens vigil on mineral vehicles to combat illegal mining
The E-Ravana bill becomes mandatory, four mineral vehicles seized for violations

Chandigarh, March 11: The Haryana government is taking stringent measures against illegal mining, with the Mining Department closely monitoring activities. Under the direction of Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, Director General of the Mines and Geology Department, Sh. K. M. Pandurang, is personally overseeing the department's operations and issuing necessary instructions. The government's goal is to ensure complete transparency in the mining process and eliminate illegal mining.
While giving information in this regard, a spokesperson of the Department said that under the departmental checking, a team in Faridabad today stopped two dumper mineral vehicles without E-Ravana bill. Additionally, two tractor-trolleys were stopped near Billauch village, and upon checking their documents, no bills were found. He said that all the four mineral vehicles have been seized at the concerned police station as per the rules prescribed.
He said that the Haryana government is fully committed to combating illegal mining and is maintaining continuous vigil at the departmental level. The campaign to curb illegal mining will continue, with surprise inspections being conducted across various areas of the district. He said that strict action is being taken against the offenders. The primary goal of this campaign is to ensure transparency in mining activities and prevent the unregulated exploitation of natural resources. The Haryana government is determined that illegal mining will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and strict legal action will be taken against those responsible, he added.

Chandigarh, March 11 – Haryana State Election Commissioner, Sh. Dhanpat Singh shared that 26 ward members have been elected unopposed in the Urban Local Bodies elections. He shared that all elected ward members have been issued certificates by the respective Returning Officers confirming their unopposed election.
Divulging more details, Sh. Dhanpat Singh shared that in the municipal corporations, Kuldeep Singh has been elected unopposed from Ward No. 36 in the Faridabad Municipal Corporation, while Vikas Yadav secured an unopposed victory in Ward No. 22 of the Gurugram Municipal Corporation. In Karnal Municipal Corporation, Sankalp Bhandari has been elected from Ward No. 8, and Sanjeev Kumar Mehta from Ward No. 11. Additionally, Bhavna has been elected unopposed from Ward No. 9 in Yamunanagar Municipal Corporation.
In the municipal councils, Mahesh Nagar has been elected from Ward No. 24 of Ambala Sadar, while Nisha Rani and Sudhir Kumar Chugh have secured unopposed victories in Ward No. 7 and Ward No. 32, respectively, in the Thanesar Municipal Council.
For the municipal committees, Mahesh has been elected from Ward No. 4 in Loharu (Bhiwani), and Deep Chand from Ward No. 9 in Siwani (Bhiwani). Suresh secured an unopposed victory in Ward No. 4 of Beri (Jhajjar). In Julana (Jind), Monu and Sandeep have been elected from Ward No. 4 and Ward No. 8, respectively.
