Chandigarh, April 27 – Haryana Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh today listened to Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s 'Mann Ki Baat' programme along with citizens at his office in Gurugram. The Minister said that the 'Mann Ki Baat' programme is the biggest communication platform in any democratic country, and the people of India have turned it into a wonderful expression of public participation.

Referring to the Prime Minister’s address, he said that the Prime Minister strongly condemned the terrorist attack that took place in Pahalgam, Kashmir. The Prime Minister assured that the families of the victims will get justice and that strict action will be taken against the attackers and conspirators.

The Environment, Forests and Wild Life Minister Rao Narbir Singh also said that the PM’s ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign on this World Environment Day will complete one year. Under this campaign over 140 crore trees have been planted across the country.

He further said that during the programme, the Prime Minister praised the efforts of farmers in Karnataka who are successfully growing apples in plain areas. He encouraged Haryana’s farmers to take inspiration from this and move beyond traditional farming by adopting innovation and new experiments in agriculture.
