Chandigarh, 27th September:CITCO celebrated the World Tourism Day with full fervour and enthusiasm. This year’s theme for the tourism day 2017 is “Sustainable Tourism – a tool for development”." Various food festivals and activities were organized by CITCO to celebrate the World Tourism day in a grand way, keeping in view the escalating level of celebrations every year.
CITCO arranged to provide complimentary ride on its popular Hop on Hop Off tourist coach to all tourists visited here today. The bus decorated with balloons, took the tourists and visitors around the city throughout the day.
In addition to this, CITCO Hotels viz Hotel Mountview, Hotel Shivalikview, Hotel Parkview and Chef Lakeview Sukhna Lake added charm to the festivities with special offers for World Tourism day by extending 25 percent discount on ala carte in all the Restaurants.
Hotel Mountview offered an array of delectable delicacies from around the globe in the "Round the Globe" food festival held today. The food lovers enjoyed the Jamaican Jerk Chicken , Ravioli in Arrabita Sauce , Three Cheese Baked Pasta , Ravioli In Arrabita Sauce , Spaghetti in vegan Bolognese Sauce , Baked Mosaka with garlic bread , Avial Mix Veg. along with nice selection of Puddings - Bnoffee Pie , Tiramisu , Chocolate mud Pudding. A special discount was offered to the guests during this festival. This menu is available from 10:30 am till midnight today.
Hotel Shivalikview organized “Global Gourmet Fest". A selected international flair to Global Gourmet Fest Menu, where food lovers enjoyed the Exotic spread of Mediterranean starters, International salads, a surprising blend of sizzling spicy Hot and Mild flavours all around the world with unique combinations of deserts. This added a tint to world tourism day.

The evening saw a thunderous performance by NZCC ( North Zonal Cultural Centre, Patiala ) folk artists from Punjab & Haryana including special performances on Folk songs and Folk dances by colourful artists, attired in traditional costumes, held at Sukhna Lake .
