Chandigarh, March 8: As part of its International Women’s Day 2019 celebrations, JW Marriott Chandigarh inspired its patrons and the society in general to support the wonderful cause of celebrating and promoting the entrepreneurial spirit amongst underprivileged women, thereby encouraging them to come at par with the society and earn a respectable living. In this regard, the hotel held a Handicrafts Exhibition of goods made by underprivileged women associated with the all-women NGO, Chhoti Si Asha (CSA).

The exhibition, held in the hotel premises, had female entrepreneurs exhibiting their latest exclusive collection of hand-crafted bags and file folders for patrons of JW Marriott Chandigarh to buy on the spot and also order for more. At the exhibition, these entrepreneurs sold their products to an appreciative audience and also took bookings for more orders, thus giving a major fillip to their business as well as confidence.

In-line with the global theme for International Women’s Day 2019, ÒThink equal, build smart, innovate for change,’ the platform created by JW Marriott Chandigarh was designed to enable the members of Chhoti Si Asha to reach out to a wider target audience with their handicrafts, thereby boosting sales orders and their product’s reach. The members of CSA were assisted by the hotel associates at the property who actively spread the message about this exhibition amongst the property’s patrons and further helped these ladies in selling the goods.
