Revenue Minister Hardip Singh Mundian conducts surprise check of Bathinda Tehsil Office

Chandigarh/Bathinda, February 5: Punjab Revenue and Rehabilitation Minister Hardip Singh Mundian today conducted a surprise check at the Tehsil Office in Bathinda and inspected the work by visiting the Sub-Registrar Office, Fard Kendra and various other branches.
Mr. Mundian, while checking the Sub-Registrar Office, directed that the presence of both the buyer and the seller should be made mandatory at the time of registration and CCTV cameras should be kept in working condition at all times. During the inspection of the Fard Kendra, he ordered that services of different kinds must be ensured to every person on time.
He also said that along with treating the people coming for office work well, proper arrangements should be made for their seating along with basic amenities viz. drinking water etc. During this, he also visited the registry branch.
Meanwhile, talking to the media, the Revenue and Urban Development and Housing Minister said that it is the top priority of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann led state government that the common people should get services transparently, on time and without any hassle. In response to a question, he also said that the people in the state are getting all kinds of services in a time-bound manner.
Mr. Mundian also said that necessary guidelines have been given to the officials regarding whatever shortcomings were found during the checking. During the visit, he also interacted with the people who had come to get their work done and said that they would not face any kind of problem regarding their work and the government is fully committed to providing them with services on time.
On this occasion, Punjab Small Industries Development Board Chairman Neil Garg, Sugarfed Chairman Navdeep Jida, SDM Balkaran Singh Mahal, and Tehsildar Divya Singla were also present.

Chandigarh, February 5:Two time MLA from Banga and former president of Indian Medical Association (IMA) Dr. Sukhwinder Kumar Sukhi, on Wednesday, assumed the charge as Chairperson of the Punjab State Container and Warehousing Corporation (Conware) in the presence of S. Gurmeet Singh Khudian, Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Punjab, at the Conware office in sector 17 here.
Dr. Sukhi reached the Conware office along with his family members including his sons, Dr. Sidhant Lochav & Dr. Nishant Lochav, and supporters.
After assuming the office, he expressed gratitude to Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann for posing faith in him. Dr. Sukhi vowed to live up to the responsibility assigned to him, while assuring to perform his duty with outmost honesty, diligence and sincerity. He also emphasised on prioritising transparency and efficiency in the corporation’s functioning.
Extending heartiest congratulations to Dr. Sukhwinder Sukhi, the Agriculture Minister S. Gurmeet Singh Khudian expressed confidence that under Dr. Sukhi's leadership the corporation would scale new heights. He assured the Chairperson, on behalf of the state government, of full support for all endeavours aimed at the development works of the corporation.

Chandigarh/Pathankot, February 5:As part of the Mega PTM campaign initiated by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann led government to provide quality education to Punjab's students, share regular updates with parents about student performance and enhance the education system through feedback, all government schools in the district Pathankot today conducted Mega PTMs, witnessing enthusiastic participation from parents and students.
Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak participated in the Mega PTM at Government High School, Sarna and Government Senior Secondary School, Malikpur, where he gathered feedback from students and parents to improve the education system further. He also issued necessary instructions to the school heads. The Cabinet Minister was accompanied by District Education Officer (Secondary) Rajesh Kumar, District President BC Wing Naresh Kumar, Vijay Kumar Kataruchak, Block President Pawan Kumar and other party workers.
While addressing the parents, the Cabinet Minister said that Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann led government is committed to provide quality education to the students of the state.
During interaction with media persons, Lal Chand Kataruchak informed that parents expressed satisfaction with the education being provided in government schools. "Mann government has initiated historic and new measures in the education sector, which are being widely appreciated by parents", said the Cabinet Minister, while noting that the government's constructive decisions are changing people's perception about the government schools, with many now preferring government schools over private institutions. He added that the government's prioritization of education has boosted teachers' morale, leading to increased enthusiasm in their work.
He said that parents at Government High School, Sarna urged for the filling up the soil in sports ground, hence immediate instructions have been issued to Pathankot Deputy Commissioner to ensure raising the ground level up by adding soil.

Cabinet Minister announced that after sending principals and teachers for training programs domestically and internationally, the Punjab government has now decided to send promising students on educational tours to various states across the country. Animal Husbandry Minister Directs Officials to Complete Livestock Census by Month-End
•Gurmeet Singh Khudian orders to launch mass immunisation drive against LSD
• Also reviews status of ongoing projects of the department
Chandigarh, February 5:Punjab Punjab Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Minister S. Gurmeet Singh Khudian, on Wednesday, directed the department officials to complete the ongoing 21st livestock census by the end of February 2025.
While emphasising on the importance of impeccable data collection regarding the number of animals categorised by their breeds and other characteristics, he said that this extensive field survey will serve as a critical touchstone, highlighting the current status of the livestock sector and setting the stage for future planning, besides, helping in informed decision-making and fostering sustainable practices across the sector.
S. Gurmeet Singh Khudian, along with the Chairman of Punjab State Farmers’ & Farm Workers’ Commission Dr. Sukhpal Singh, held a meeting with the Animal Husbandry officials to review the ongoing projects at Livestock Complex, Sector-68, SAS Nagar (Mohali).
He also ordered the officials to initiate the mass immunisation drive against Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) from next week in the state. He informed that the state government has procured adequate number of Goat Pox vaccine doses to inoculate all the 25 lakh cattle to prevent this fatal disease.
S. Gurmeet Singh Khudian also took stock of the status of the upcoming project of indoor services to be launched at six Veterinary Polyclinics in Patiala, Amritsar, Sri Mukatsar Sahib,Sangrur, Gurdaspur and Ludhiana. These Polyclinics will offer a range of indoor services for pets and animals including acute illness management, surgeries, post-operative care, lab tests, X-rays and ultrasound facilities. He asked the deputy directors to get success stories of the farmers from each district who have been benefitted from the services of the Animal Husbandry department so that the other farmers also get encouraged from it
Principal Secretary Animal Husbandry Mr. Rahul Bhandari apprised the cabinet minister that the role of women in the animal husbandry sector is being taken into account for the first time in the state and a total of 16 different species of animals and poultry are being counted. The data is being collected digitally through a mobile application. The enumerators have already covered over 35.36 lakh households, with a target of covering over 64.78 lakh projected households. He mentioned that during the last census, a total of 45,51,483 households were covered.
Director Animal Husbandry Dr. GS Bedi assured the cabinet minister S. Gurmeet Singh Khudian that the ongoing field survey will be completed in the prescribed timeline.He told that department is doing the best for the animals in terms of treatment as well as preventive measures with vaccination against different diseases.The high-level meeting was attended by all the district heads of the Animal Husbandry department and other senior officials of the department.
